Hi everyone. It's time for
another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we are welcoming back Patti to the rock star team. She volunteered to start her return off with a bang and her designer choice this week is: Things with wings.
I created the background using distress oxide inks. I applied cracked pistachio and salty ocean onto my glass mat and added water, then ran my cardstock through it a couple of times. I like what came of it - kind of looks like water. To add further dimension, I splattered on some black marker using the TH splatter tool, then decided to add bigger white paint splatters. I did add some sparkle to the dragonfly wings using the spectrum noir sparkle brush marker.
There's a new challenge every
week over at The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use
Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy
the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.
One lucky person will win a $25
Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month –
Good luck!
Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!

What an awesome background, and I love the splatters! Beautiful summer card!
Oh, so pretty! Your background is smooth as silk, and the dragonfly appears to just be floating! Looks like it could float right off the page - so lifelike! Thanks for sharing, and it's great to be back with you!
Such a stunning background and like the dragonfly!
Love the background - never thought to do that - (maybe a short tutorial) but the look is so pretty.
So pretty! Love how your background turned out!
