Angel Ornament

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I chose to do the middle column across.  The angle is paper pieced using patterend paper.  I used round coasters to create my ornament. I cut the middle out, then heat embossed it several times using silver embossing powder.  Added some clear plastic to the back of it to so that I could create a shaker out of this. I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the angel. White gel pen used to highlight the stripes on her robe. The wings are colored with Copic's then highlighted with a sparkle pen. It's hard to see in the photo, but IRL, it looks cool.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Frame it!

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week is my turn to decide what to make. So my Designers Choice Challenge is to "Frame it!"

I used Versamark and gold embossing powder to do the sentiment. To create the frame, I used a large rectangle die and my versamark pen to trace around it. Then added the gold embossing powder. I really like how it turned out. Clean and simple, plus it's a one layer card.

Holiday stenciling

Hi all. Playing along with the 30 day coloring challenge today. I'm behind a couple of days, I think. But here is my take on the challenge using stencils.

I used the newest stencil from Pretty Pink Posh and distress inks. I did break out my cosmetic brushes to color this. I ended up masking off the circles/berries and coming back and doing them after the leaves. I created the vellum band and heat embossed the season greetings using platinum embossing powder from Hero Arts. The sentiment is from Purple Onion Designs.

HO HO HO

Hi there. I'm back again with another card for the Freshly Made Sketch challenge #409 and the SSS Anything goes challenge.

Gnome stamp is from Whipper Snapper Designs. I stamped him in Versafine and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Colored with Copic's.  Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. The Merry Christmas designer paper is from the paper studio. Used some of their glitter paper to layer the gnome and sentiment.

It's been a fun filled creative Saturday. Thanks for stopping by.

Cup of cheer!

Hello! Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #409 and the coffee lovers fall and winter blog hop today. Also adding this into the SSS anything goes challenge.

Coffee cup stamps and die are from Hero Arts. Designer paper is from Fancy Pants, called Timbergrove, which I've had in my Christmas paper stash for a while now. Used an old Martha Stewart craft punch on the snowflakes. Tried to match the DP color and used a Copic marker to color one of the snowflakes and the self adhesive pearl.
