CAS no layer card (Challenge)

Hello! Have you ever tried to do a clean and simple no layer card? Maybe when you first started stamping right? Here's one I put together recently that I actually like.

All stamps are from The Angel Company. The trees are stamped in Memento onto kraft cardstock and colored with Copic's, then highlighted with a stardust pen. The line at the bottom is stamped in Versamark.

Snowflake Season

Here's a real quick card I did for the clean and simple challenge over at SCS. This weeks challenge was based off of a sketch.

The designer paper is from my 2008 Christmas stash and I have no idea who makes it. It's embossed with snowflakes througout and all I have left is bits and pieces.

Snowflake stamp is from The Angel Company and is stamped in Palette Starry night that I stamped off once. I highlighted it with a stardust pen and added one light blue rhinestone in the center. The sentiment is from PTI as is the dark blue (enchanted evening) paper and grosgrain ribbon.

The label die is from Quickutz!

Challenge cards

Hello! I wanted to share a few cards that I completed for a few challenges out there. This first one is for Paper Wings Limited Supply Challenge that I host every other week.


The rules were:
1. To make your card square
2. Use a flower(s) on your card - button or brad for the center was ok
3. Use designer paper and one tag
4. Use eyelets
5. Any stamped image

Supplies:
Angelee designer paper and tag from TAC
Stamp - sentiment from Feel Better - TAC, Paletete Burnt Umber ink
Purple card stock from TAC
Flowers colored with Copic Markers
Fern paper punch
Extra larege Eyelets


This next one is a very quick Clean and Simple card for the CAS Birthday challenge over at SCS.
Labels One was used to cut out the card into the shape - it really looks cool IRL as the embossing on it really stands out. Nestabilities rectangles and deckled rectangles used to cut out and layer the image. The stamped images are from Studio G Clear Stamps (those $1 Michael Stamps) and are colored with Copic Markers. A satin ribbon that is tied in a double bow finishes off this little card.


This last one is for the sketch challenge on SCS.
The bird image is from Penny Black, as is the sentiment. The birdies are colored with Copic Ciao markers. The blue polka dot paper is from My minds eye and the yellow from Creating Keepsakes. I ran the yellow through the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder and then layered it with navy card stock. Pale yellow grosgrain ribbon and light blue pearls from Kaiser Craft finishes out the card.

Well, that's it for today! I'm on my way to the dentist for an emergency appointment. I have a impacted tooth that is hurting like the devil - and time to get it looked at. CAS happy everything!

Hi all! I participated in the SCS Clean and Simple card challenge on Monday and here's my card. We were supposed to use black and white and one bold bright.

I chose to use turquoise as my bold bright. The embossing folder is from Quickutz, as is the nesting label. One of my finds at the Heirloom Pro Rubber Stamp Show. Speaking of my finds, I did get quite a few flower stamps that I plan on coloring with my Copic markers. This year it wasn't such a crush - probably due to the gorgeous weather we had that day! I'm sure there were a lot of outdoor family activities going on and of course the economy played a part in it as well. I know I didn't spend as much as I ususally do - just didn't see anything really "new" and exciting!

More challenge cards!

Hi everyone! I got a rare treat on Monday and got to participate in two challenges over at SCS. The technique lovers challenge and the Clean and Simple challenge. I'll link up the posts below if you'd care to take a look later.

This first one is the one I did for TLC. It's a crimped envelope pocket card. You take a normal A2 envelope and cut 1 1/4" off one end after you've sealed it. Stamp or decorate it as you see fit, run it through your crimper and then make a card insert to go along with it.

After I found and dusted off my crimper, I had the idea of using one of my favorite SU sets, Best Blossoms and pairing it with some Dragonfly images from Impression Obsession. First I sponged on some distress ink in faded jeans and let it dry. I used Palette Jardin Moss to stamp the leaves and did some ghost stamping, too. The dragonfly stamp is a set of three together - so I colored one dragonfly with a black marker and randomly stamped it on the face of the envelope. Then I ran that portion through my crimper. I added the spring moss grosgrain ribbon to the top and tied a knot (several times, since I never get it right the first time).

The insert card is made the same way - I just added the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner. I took another piece of white card stock and sponged some more faded jeans around the outside so that it would match the envie. I love how this turned out! You can see the challenge here.

This next one was done for the Clean and Simple challenge to accent with dots on your card. You could not use the swiss dots CB folder or DP, but had to do some paper piercing or add dots using a marker. I decided to add some paper piercing between some score lines on the left and bottom of the card. The stamps are from Verve and I colored the flower with Copic Ciao Markers in V12, V15 and V17. The scalloped circle has paper piercing around it, too.

Challenge Cards

Hi all! Here are two recent challenge cards that I did over on SCS. One is the weekly sketch challenge and the other is for the new CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge.

I have no idea who make this stamp!!! I'm 100% positive that I bought it at the Heirloom stamp show, it's unmounted and un-labled! Next year I'm writing down the manufacture name on the back of the stamp as I buy them!

I colored the flowers with Copic markers, after stamping the image with Palette Noir onto Gina K's luxury card stock. Bazzill mid and light green card stock make up the middle layers and the purples are from Paper Pizazz. I added a bit of satin ribbon on the side and found these mini brads from Queen & Co. for the corners.

This one was done for the CAS challenge - it was an inspiration one and you can find the link here! I stamped the images in distress ink in worn lipstick. I also sponged it on another piece of card stock so that I could layer it under the verticle stamped panel and have everything match. Stamps are from SU called priceless.
