Happy Birthday

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week is our designer choice challenge and it's Heather's turn. She wanted us to use something "wet" (technique, medium or image). Here is what I did.

I chose to create a watercolor background using distress oxide inks. I really like how the three colors blended together so well. Blue print sketch, tumbled glass and cracked pistachio. I just smooched them down on my glass mat and spritzed with water, then drug my watercolor paper through it.  I added more drops using water and a paint brush and splattering them on. After drying, I stamped the dragonfly in versafine and heat embossed it. The happy birthday die is from SSS and cut from shiny black cardstock. Threw in three dew drops and then added fun foam to the back before matting it with black.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Love your background, great smooching - LOL. Then the clear dew drops just set it off to perfection.
