Bandana technique

Hi there! I made this for the technique lovers challenge over at SCS and really like how it turned out.

I used the paisly rockz stamp set and stamped it in black randomly over the red card stock. Next use your white gel pen to doodle/color in any area you want to create the bandana effect. I cut it into three panels and mounted it to a black card base.

The circle tag is an old retired stamp that I thought fit in with the cowboy bandana theme going on here. I added some wire and curled it around my paper piercer so that it resembled barbed wire - sort of.

Supplies:

  • Stamps - Paisley rockz and fun tag (both retired), sentiment is from feel better hostess set all from The Angel Company
  • Red and black card stock
  • Palette noir ink
  • white gel pen
  • Wire
  • Black satin ribbon

Heirloom Pro is in town this weekend for their annual stamp show! I have money saved to buy some new rubber and it's burning a hole in my pocket! I have a friend that I'm going to meet there - this is an annual outing for us and our fourth year in a row! Nothing like spending time doing some serious shopping with a fellow stamper! Have a great weekend!

Perfect stamp set for that background technique. And I think the wire does add that authentic final touch. Hope you scored a lot of goodies on your shopping expedition.
