Card Sketch Tuesday #157

Good morning! Happy Tuesday! How about some windy swirls and snowflakes this week? Here is sketch #157 and measurements are below.


Card base = 5.5 x 4.25, Pink layer = 5.25 x 4, Blue layer = 5 x 3.75, Image layer = 3.25 x 2 1/8

Image is colored with Copic Ciao Markers in the following colors: R27, R29, B21, B24, C7 and out lined with C1. I also used a stardust pen to highlight the wind swirls and snowflakes.

The snowflakes are punched with a Martha Stewart craft punch and then spritzed with the Smooch Vanilla Shimmer to give it a bit of a snowy sparkly look. A light blue rhinestone was added to the center of each.

The blue panel was embossed using the new holiday line from Provo Craft that I purchased off of HSN. It came in a package of 6 and included two 5 x 7 folders. Doesn't it go perfect with this stamp?

The MSC latice border punch was used on the bottom of the blue panel - I think this has to be my favorite border punch!

Hello all! I've been busy working on a few projects for two different stamp companies and really haven't had time to update by blog! I've been asked again to design for the Stamp Of The Month for The Angel Company, so you will see that in January. I've also been asked to design a few cards for Victorine Originals for a few magazine publications. So, here's a quick card I did with both companies stamps!

The tree branch is stamped in Palette Jardin Moss and embossed with clear powder. The ornaments and the sentiment are stamped in versamark and then embossed with gold powder. The base of the card is white and covered with Reece paper from TAC, I also added a strip of the striped paper to the right side. Continuing with the gold theme I added a bunch of self adhesive gold dots to it. The trick is to get them on straight!!! So, what do you think?

Curvy

Hey all! Here's my card I completed for this weeks SCS sketch challenge, and what a challenge it was! We are so used to straight lines, and this is all about curves.

I used my flexible ruler and a craft knife to cut out the curvy designer paper. Sanded it down in several places to even it out and then I inked it up using pure poppy palette ink that matched the colors in the dp. Four mini brads are added to anchor the ends down.

The elf is colored with Copic Ciao Markers and I added a bit of crystal art glitter on his collar and trim of his coat.

Card Sketch Tuesday #156

Happy Tuesday! Here is sketch #156, which measures the normal A2 size.


Measurements are as follows:
Card base = 4.25 x 5.5
Inside panel = 4 x 5.25
Bottom panel = 4 x 2.75
Ribbon panel = 4 x 1.5 (including the 1/16 border)
Image panel = 2.75 x 2.25 (part is hidden under the bottom panel)




This is actually my second card from this sketch. I did a snowman one earlier (you will see it around the 5th of December) and loved how it turned out and had to do it again.

The designer paper is from Making Memories called Greenhouse, which includes all the paper you see on the card except for the white cardstock.

The milk can stamp is from Art Impressions and is colored with Copic Ciao Markers. The get well greeting is from Papertrey, Ink. Ribbon is white twill tied onto the panel prior to adhering.

Hello all! Just a quick post before I get busy doing weekend chores and finish my day job paperwork.


I used the new embossing folder from Provo craft called Holly - it's a 5 x 7 folder too! Papertrey ink pure poppy card stock is used as the base and then I pulled a strip of green out of my scraps folder to do the band. This folder is awesome and has a lot of possibilities!

The holly stamp is from The Angel Company and is colored with Copic Ciao Markers. Circle nestabilities, both regular and scalloped were used to frame it up. Just a quick and simple card, except for the time it takes to color the holly - LOL!

Hey all! I got a chance to play in this weeks SCS sketch challenge and here's my creation.

I decided NOT to use any Holiday stamps on this sketch (getting a littel burned out on them) and went with a generic use stamp.

I stamped the flower silhouette with versamark on vellum and embossed with glacier white embossing powder. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and also embossed with clear. Blue brads that match the designer paper anchor down the vellum and I curled up one corner of it to be creative.

We are expecting another wind storm (#3 this week) to hit us tonight and into tomorrow morning. But right now - the sun is out and I see blue sky! Have a great week!

Card Sketch Tuesday #155

Hello everyone! Today and last night it's been raining hard and the we've had wind storm warnings posted several times! I sure hope those big tall evergreen's stay firmly planted in the ground!

Anyway, here is sketch #155. This measures the normal A2 size. The panels measure 1 1/2 x 5 and the square in the middle is 2".

I just got some Kaisercraft designer paper from HSN and thought that I had bought a variety pack. Nope, it's all the same! 10 pieces of two sided paper in each pack - this is called Dash a way all - Vixen. I like that it's different on both sides and pretty thick paper. I added a few red rhinestones to the corners of the papers.

The snowman stamp and the sentiment are from The Angel Company and they're retired. It was a limited edition stamp from a few years ago. I colored him with Copic Ciao markers and got a little creative with the B00 frost blue marker. I colored on a piece of plastic and then used my colorless blender to pick up the blue and blended it in the snowman body. With snowman being all white, I wanted to do a little shading and decided to play around a bit. I kind of like the ice blue effect I ended up with. What do you think?
