For You

Hey all! I got a chance to play in this weeks SCS sketch challenge and here's my creation.

I decided NOT to use any Holiday stamps on this sketch (getting a littel burned out on them) and went with a generic use stamp.

I stamped the flower silhouette with versamark on vellum and embossed with glacier white embossing powder. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and also embossed with clear. Blue brads that match the designer paper anchor down the vellum and I curled up one corner of it to be creative.

We are expecting another wind storm (#3 this week) to hit us tonight and into tomorrow morning. But right now - the sun is out and I see blue sky! Have a great week!

Supplies:
Stamps - plant silhouette by Artful Inkables, sentiment by TAC
Designer paper - Making Memories
Light Blue Brads
White and navy blue cardstock

Card Sketch Tuesday #122

Good Tuesday morning! Here's scketch #122 which is easy peasy!!! However, this could be dressed up and embellished to really make a statement! So, that is your challenge this week!
Here's my example! I added some detail paper piercing to the corners for interest.

Queen and Co. makes these tiny tiny brads and which is what I used in the lower right corner panel. Those things are super cute, but challenging to work with. I think I broke two before I got them in and on the panel. They are a soft purple color and really match the Bazzill paper that I used to layer the panels with. I did used my rectangle nesties for this panel, but the main one I did not.
Supplies:
Stamps - Flower from Artful Inkables, dragonfly and sentiment from Penny Black
Ink - Versamagic chalk ink in Spring pansy, Palette Noir
Bazzill paper in shades of purple
Queen and Co. mini brads
Okay - show me what you can do with this easy peasy sketch! Have a great week!

Playing with Copic's!

Hi everyone! I've been playing around - or more specifically practicing using my Copic's. I signed up for a class at my LSS and learned a few things, but mostly pick up tricks and techniques from blogs and tutorials I found on the web.

So, here are two cards I just finished.

This first one is a card I just sent off as a RAK! The envelope was done using my colorless blender and the gray N2 marker. I used a piece of plastic and scribbled some of the gray onto it and then picked it up with the blender to color in the shading. Flowers are done with R83 and R85.

The back ground paper is from Making Memories. Stamps are from Artful Inkables. Velta from my SCS blogging sisters inspired me with this stamp set. She has some wonderful examples on her blog which you can find here.

This card is the one I'm most proud of. I really had a great time blending the yellows into the daffodils! This one took a long time to do, but it was so relaxing to sit down and color this one. I got this stamp for free at my LSS, due to finally filling out my punch card. It's made by Northwoods rubber stamps.

I decided to make this card a 5 x 7 since the stamp is so big. The golden yellow card stock is from AC cardstock. I sponged on some thatched straw chalk ink from Versamagic onto the white card base. I dug out a stamp set called bold patterns from HOTP, that I don't think has ever seen ink. I used the damask border stamped in the same ink all over the sponged back ground. I added a golden yellow grosgrain bow to finish things off. The sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

So, off to play some more since it's raining and a perfect day to stay in doors!

Hello Friend!

Greetings all! Here's another card created for the SCS sketch challenge and I thought I'd show it to you all! This was a fun one, too!

The flower is from Artful Inkables and comes in a solid and line form so you could do some two step stamping with them. I stamped the back ground panel with the solid flower in Memories Delicate Rose Chalk ink. The main image is with the line flowers and they were colored with Copic Ciao's. The pink polka dot paper is from Making Memories. I have a thin cuts die from sizzix that has two sizes of hinges on it and decided to use the smallest to add some interest on this card. Small self adhesive pearls are used as the nails to go with the polka dots on the dp.

The sentiment is from The Angel Company - tag tid bits - which is a go to staple for me when I need a small sentiment!

I'm off to do some errands, some clothes shopping (gasp) and I have got to go buy a new pillow! I've had a stiff neck for about two weeks now and I'm done not being able to look over my right shoulder! LOL! Hope you all have a great weekend!
