Pick of the week - Recycling

Hello. It's my turn over at The House That Stamps Built to create a project for our Monday challenge called Pick of the Week. I'm creating a card out of recycled materials today.

I received this gift bag with goodies in it at our company meeting last week. I liked how fancy the gold swirls were on it and kept it to use again.

So I cut it apart and even used the handle to make this card.

I had to add a bit of gold to enhance everything. Snowflakes and sentiment are heat embossed using gold embossing powder.  I added the gold cording onto the raffia bow so that it would stand out just a tad bit more. Gold mirror cardstock used as the base of the card and to layer the sentiment panel.

Stamps used are:
1141-F, Christmas
8805-K, Snowflakes

Have a great day!

Hello

Hello! Playing in a few challenges today. Started off with the CAS Colours and Sketches sketch and went from there.

No stamping on this card, just a lot of distress coloring of the leaves. I cut four of the hello dies, stacked them three of the them together. The fourth one was heat embossed with black embossing powder to get a shine on it.  Plaid designer paper is from Carta Bella. Leaf dies are dinky dies from Xcut by docrafts.  The Hello and branch dies are from Savvy Stamps.  Below is an up close look at the leaves.

I'm also playing in the following challenges:

Tic-Tac-Toe challenge

Hello.
It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following TTT board.

I used the second row in the middle to create my card. Button, faux stitching and color washed the tag.

I saturated some water color paper with a mister bottle and then dropped a few splats of Hero Arts liquid water color onto it and let it move with the water. I let it dry overnight and then cut out the stitched tag. Heat embossed the sentiment, added the button and ribbon and glued it onto the navy blue layer that I dry embossed.  Lastly, added some dew drops for interest.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in any of our challenges, the more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. lots of candles

Hello again. Playing in the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches today.

Birthday candle stamps from Simon Says Stamp. Colored in Copic's. Love this sketch - you can go either way with it! Added some sparkle to the flames of the candles with the clear spectrum sparkle pen.

Have a great weekend!

Snowpeople

Hello - Playing in the Simon Says Stamp "let's get ready for Christmas" challenge today.

Stamp is from Newton's Nook. Colored with Copic's and added some small pompoms on to some of their hats for fun.  Cardbase is a dark navy blue and I used a stitched rectangle die to cut out the group, then layered with red cardstock. Wouldn't this stamp be fun to do a spotlight technique with too?

Thanks for stopping by.
