Just Because

Hey everyone! Here's another card using a new image from A Muse.

I colored with a marker directly on the stamp and then spritzed it with water to create the watercolor effect. Sentiment is stamped in Palette noir.

I just got the new smaller version of labels four and love that I'm now able to layer without having to hand cut!!

Designer paper is something that I pulled out of my scrap pile and have no clue who it's from. Grosgrain ribbon used to tie the little bow on the flower and behind the main image. At the last minute I added three self adhesive pearls for some bling from Kaisercraft! I got lucky and found some green one's amongst all the packages that I have stuffed into my little drawer!

Thinking about you

Hi everyone! I was able to play around and work with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch yesterday!

Stamps are from the "just because" set from A Muse. The leaf stem is stamped in Studio G chalk ink in a lime green and the sentiment is stamped in Palette dark chocolate. The stitching is a stamp from Stampabilities and is also stamped in the dark chocolate.

Green cardstock is from Bazzill and the dark brown is from my stash. The designer paper on top is from Memory Box.

Brown grosgrain ribbon is secured under the green with tape and the Bow Easy is used to tie the bow. Lastly, I added a small punched butterfly for a splash of color.

CAS Fish collage

Hi everyone. I'm home from Alaska and back in the studio. Yea! I started out doing a clean and simple card to get my mojo going! It's been a long 8 days of not being able to get my fingers inky!


Stamp is from The Angel Company and is colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with OMS. American craft navy cardstock is used as the card base and to layer the collage.

The blue background is done using distress ink in peeled paint. I applied the ink directly to my craft sheet, spritzed with water and soaked up the ink with white card stock. After it dried, I ran it through the cuttlebug using an embossing plate from PTI. Love the texture.

Sew thoughtful

Hi everyone! In just got a few new set of rubber in from TAC and have been busy making up cards with a few of the images from the sets. This is from Sew Thankful.

The dress form is stamped in Memento and colored with Copic's. I added a bit of bling using a stardust pen on the swirls in the dress form and in the swirls - which are a retired set from TAC.

Designer paper is from Angelee SWIC from The Angel Company as is the purple cardstock. I used a bit of black grosgrain ribbon to make the bow. Light purple self adhesive pearls are from Kaisercraft.

What do you think? I'm not sure I'm liking all the purple on this!

Caring thoughts

Hello everyone! I'm still up in Alaska on business and missing my creative time at home! Here's a clean and simple sympathy card today!

Stamps are from Hero Arts called "with sympathy." I saw this set and just had to have it since it has so many great sentiments that are very flexible and basic.

Flower is stamped in Palette Fresh Snow on Kraft cardstock. Sentiment is stamped in Noir. The card base is designer paper from Kaisercraft - which you really cant see all that well. Black cardstock is used to layer the kraft.

My white satin ribbon is almost too white (or I brightened up the picture too much in PSE9) but in real life it's very classy looking. Bow is tied with the Bow Easy.

Sending a latte...

Greetings everyone! I'm in the frozen north of Alaska on business and scheduled a few posts while I'm on the road! I finally got some time in the studio on my day off!!! YEA!

Stamps are from The Angel Company. The cup is from the set called "Cup of Love" and the sentiment is from "Sending a Latte."

The cup and saucer are colored with Copic markers in G21, G24 and G28. The dots are filled in with a black glaze gel pen.

Buttons are from American Crafts and are stacked and glued down on top of each other. The sentiment flag was created using the cornice border punch from Martha Stewart.

I decided to add a bit of interest to the card and did some paper piercing on the black cardstock. Black rhinestones are from Kaisercraft and the green cardstock is from Bazzill.

A little something

Greetings! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been busy training the new puppy how to not potty in the house! =) He's doing really good, just needs constant watching, which is not conducive to stamping or creating cards.


Cupcake is colored with Copic's, cut out and popped up in the center with foam tape. Designer paper is from TAC called Uptown Girl. I used the dot background stamp from the TAC set "A little Something" to create the polka dots on the hot pink.

Circle nestabilities used to cut out the scallops and the circle. Black grosgrain ribbon attached to the bottom of the card and bow is tied with the Bow Easy. One other thing, I did add some sparkle to the candy on the cupcake with a pink stardust pen.
