Need to Venti?

Hi all! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch. I used a few different coffee themed stamp sets to make this one!

I just picked up this set from Lil' Inkers and thought it would go perfect with this sketch. I'll admit that I bought the set for the iced frap just so that I could use some liquid applique for the whipped on it! Turned out very cute! Colored with Copic's in E33 and E35.

I had some left over "sand" (see post below) and used it to paper piece the coffee sleeve.

Sentiment is from My Favorite Things and the beans are from Paper Smooches. Used Chocolate brown Hybrid ink from MFT to get the dark color for the beans.

Notice that I did not add in the sentiment strip but stamped it directly onto the card base. I didn't want to take away from this super cute image. Overall, fun card and sketch to use this week!

PTI November blog hop - mitten

Hi everyone! While surfing around on Pinterest, I found a picture that inspired me and went wonderfully with the theme for this month's PTI blog hop of snow!

Mitten die is from A*Muse Studio and I cut out two pieces of canvas and then stitched them together using red DMC floss. Added a piece of red felt for the top of the mitten and then went to work on the snowflakes.

Using a bit of shimmer cardstock from PTI, I punched out the base snowflake using my large EK Success snowflake punch. I had the mirror layer snowflake in my stash for years that came pre-assembled as an embellishment. I just took it a part and added the small snowflake button (colored with Copic R29).

Added some fir branches (Poppy Stamps) and twigs (Memory Box) and the red berries that I swiped off of some garland that I had.

Added the sentiment from the Signature Christmas stamp set and then finished adding snow using liquid applique and my heat gun.  If I was to do this again, I would use felt for the body of the mitten. The canvas unraveled too much for my liking.

Hello! I made this CAS card a while ago - like right after I got this fab set from A*Muse Studio but have been saving it to post closer to Christmas.

Pure poppy cardstock from Papertrey, Ink is used as the card base and the circle layer.

The Santa hat is colored with copic's, a white gel pen and then I added some liquid applique. Used the heat tool to puff it up and Ta Da!

Memento ink used on the sentiment and Santa's hat.

What do you think? This one could be mass produced pretty quickly too!

TDS Sketch Challenge

Hey everyone! This weeks Wednesday challenge at The Digi Shack is a sketch challenge.

Here is my take on it.


I left off the right tab and added a sentiment to the horizontal panel in the back. The image is available at TDS for only $1 and it comes with the sentiment!

He's colored with Copic markers and if you look real close, you can see that I added a bit of liquid applique (fluffed it up with the heat gun) to the frosting on the cupcake!

Designer paper is from Paper Pizazz called Earth's Palette. American Craft card stock is used to layer the image. Embellished with antique copper brads and brown grosgrain ribbon.

I chose to make this card for one of my co-workers (I have no idea when his birthday is, but it's ready to go at least!). It's so right up his alley! He can make those funny faces that says "You have to be $@#*%#@ me!" and this images makes me think the same thing! It must be something with the eyes!
