CC Designs trade

I got these really cute designs from a fellow stamping angel over on ASB (Thanks T. Joy). We actually traded CC Designs for some House Mouse stamp designs that I had. Anyway, here is one of the cards I created with one of the images I received. This was also one of the sketch challenges and a take #5 challenge from ASB - I just had to combine them! Trudy did a great job on both of these - and you can view them here and here!

Supplies:
Stamps - CC Designs
Paper - Paper Pizazz (HOTP) and solid green bazzill
Ink - Palette Noir
Green grosgrain ribbon
Colored with Copic Ciao Markers

Technique challenge - Masking

I did this for the next technique challenge over at ASB. I really struggled with this card! It's one of those that just didn't want to come together - no matter what I did.

The center daisy is masked - which is the challenge - and then I worked the daisies into the other panels. So, I get this all done (except for the sentiment and the top right hand daisy) and it's sitting on my work space. I'm on to the next project - I look down and what do I see??? A big black smudge of ink in the top right corner of this card. GRRR! Now, I'm about to throw this in the trash - but thought, Hmmm, how can I save this one? I stamped another two daisies, cut them out and popped them up to cover the ink spot! Whipper Snapper Stamps has this stamp saying (which I almost used on this card!) "There are no mistakes in stamping, only embellishment opportunities" - you can see the stamp here. Can you say stamping MacGyver!

By the way, if you head over to A Shade of Blue, you will see one of my cards that won their spring stamping contest! Woo Hoo! I never win anything - so this was really exciting!

Supplies:
Stamps - Daisy and back ground stamp from TAC, sentiment is from Studio G
Card stock - DCWV
Copic Marker in Honey Y3
Palette Noir ink
