Stupid?

Here's the Valentines Day card that I'm going to be giving to my DH. He'll love the humor!

Even though it's sort of a girlie card, he'll laugh! Digital image is from Bugaboo Digital Stamps. I colored her with Copic's and a stardust pen was used to highlight her wings!

Designer paper is from Hot Off The Press and I added some self adhesive pearls for interest.

Long rectangles cut out with nestabilities.

Have a Happy Valentines Day and enjoy the Chocolate.

Thank you

Hey there! This is a card that I completed for this weeks Viva La Verve sketch challenge over on SCS.

Let's start with the top tag first. The sprig stamp is from The Angel Company's deco designs which has been retired. It's stamped in Palette Jardin Moss three different times to create that ghosting technique. It's also popped up on foam tape.

The "Thank you" sentiment is from Verve and the polka dots on the die behind it are from Polka dot basics II from PTI. The circle is popped up with foam tape, too.

All of the green cardstock is from Bazzill and the designer paper is from The Crafter's Workshop. Grosgrain ribbon is called Spring Moss and comes from Ribbons and Bows Oh My. Bow is tied with the Bow Easy and adhered in place with a glue dot. So, what do you think - too much green?

I did get about 5 cards done today, so I feel productive! Now I just have to sit down at the computer and schedule some blog posts! Thanks for stopping by and have creative day!

Just a note (pad)

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, the day job is keeping me extremely busy this month!

Here's a altered item this time around.

I've had this little note book forever sitting up in my cupboard and decided to cover it with some designer paper from Emma line from The Angel Company.

I cute out a nestie shape from label 1 using some scrap black cardstock. I stamped the "just a note" sentiment in white craft ink. The sentiment is from TAC tag tid bits.

Using my Copic markers I colored the flowers to match the designer paper and then added a black button to the center.

I'm hoping to have some time in the studio this weekend so that I can schedule some posts ahead of time. February is always crazy busy for me at work with back to back training sessions, so I hope to get some crafty things accomplished this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thankful am I

Hello everyone! Here's a card I did for the PTI Make it Monday's challenge. This card features the emboss resist technique.

Stamps are from The Angel Company; Vintage Background and Happly Grateful.

I stamped the background stamp in Palette landscape ink onto the white cardstock. Used an embossing buddy over the stamped image and then using Versamark ink, stamped the leaf print and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Using Palette Landscape and Jardin Moss I sponged around the embossed image using a dauber. I also went around the edges with the Jardin Moss ink.

The corners were rounded on the green carstock (Bazzill) and the image panel using the Zutter corner rounder. Sentiment is stamped in Palette Noir and layered with dark green cardstock (Bazzill). Added the gold self adhesive pearls in the corners after popping up the sentiment panel with foam tape.

Just a clean and simple Thank you card for any occasion! What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

Retiform Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Are you ready for another creative inspiration blog hop?

TAC™ is sponsoring a Blog Hop where our projects must be done using the Retiform technique. When I first heard of this hop a couple of months ago I had to do a google search to find out about this retiform technique. SplitCoast stampers had a lot of information on it, too. What is it? Well, it has to do with masking and multi-stamping! It's been around awhile, but it's new to me! Here is my creation using this fun technique!

All stamps are from The Angel Company, Fly Fairy, Fanciful Vintage and Vintage backgrounds. The fairy is colored with Copic markers and the wings are cut out and popped up with foam tape. I painted on a bit of stickles to get some sparkly bling on her wings. Ended up putting a small posy on her hat as well.

Yes, those are paper doilies in the back ground - I cut two apart in order to make them stretch and fit behind the nestie. Memento ink used for all the black stamping and the different colors are done with distress inks and a sponge applicator.

Check out all the great projects below featuring this great technique! Thanks for dropping by!

Annoy

Hey everyone! Here's a card I did for this weeks sketch challenge over at SCS.

Digital stamps are from Bugaboo. I used Copic's markers, glaze and a stardust pen to color this funny older couple!

Pink polka dot designer paper is from My minds eye. The denim paper is something I found hidden away in one of my 12 x 12 cropper hoppers. I realized I have some pretty good designer paper in those storage units that I forgot I had. Ug! Anyway, I used a pair of scissors to distress the edges, popped it up with foam tape and tied on some bakers twine, which holds the sentiment tag.

I also used some glossy accents on their glasses. You might have to enlarge the photo in order to see it and read the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

Pink heart

Hello everyone! Here is a Valentine's Day card that I created that I actually like!

The heart is a dollar stamp from Studio G and stamped in Memories Cloudy Coral chalk ink. I did stamp it twice, cut one out and popped it up with foam tape.

The designer paper is from Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby line.

I used Copic markers to color the satin ribbon and the lace. Added some white self adhesive pearls at the corners of the middle panel. Corner's were rounded on the bottom of the card base and the white panel.

Thanks for stopping by today. I bet a lot of you have had a few snow days which means time to be creative and do some blog hoppin.
