Just bee cuze

Greetings! Here's a card that I made using sketch #88 that I wanted to share with everyone!

The back ground is done with Linear sentiments from The Angel Company. I stamped it in canary yellow ink (Colorbox) and added a black dot in the middle of the biggest stamped dot. The bee is colored with Copic Ciao markers and the wings are colored in with a stardust pen. I added some dots around the main image and the sentiment using a Copic Multiliner pen, and decided to punch the corners with the western punch from Marvy.

Black gingham ribbon is added to separate the panels and black brads are added down the side.

Greetings everyone! Here's a little card that is simple and very classy looking!


The image is stamped in Palette Noir ink, however I had to go over the black bird with a Copic Multiliner to get it good and dark. The berries are enhanced with Ruby Red Liquid Pearls. I layered this onto red card stock, twice. The sentiment is stamped, then cut out with oval nestabilities. After I added on the sentiments with pop ups, I debated about adding some ribbon or other embellishments.....here again, I went with nothing. I felt it was too good to mess up! LOL!

Card Sketch #97

Hello all - Here is sketch #97! This measure's the normal A2 size - looks like I might need to mix things up at bit - seems I'm in a rut! =) This one is all angles, and was a lot of fun to play around with! I cut my pieces up first then I stamped the back ground image in versamark, added some clear embossing powder and heated.
The main image is colored with Copic Ciao Markers, layered a few times with a lighter green and silver metallic card stock. I added the sentiment at the last minute because it seemed empty without it.

Wouldn't this layout look great with some really nice designer papers - I'm thinking more Christmas papers! I just might have to do this one again! Take care and hope your having a wonderful weekend!

SCS sketch - snowman

Greetings everyone! I wanted to show you what I came up with on this weeks SCS sketch Challenge, which you can find here. I also combined it with the ways to use it challenge, which was mad for plaid!

I stamped the snowman in Palette Noir and colored him with prisma colored pencils. I did blend the black with OMS. The snow at the bottom is highlighted with some glitter, which was applied with a quickie glue pen. I highlighted the snowflakes with a stardust gel pen to make them stand out a bit more. I decided not to embellish this little guy any further due to how busy the plaid back ground is. Overall, I'm very pleased with how this turned out! Thanks for looking and have a wonderful week!

Card Sketch #96

Here's sketch #96! This one measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.









My mojo was missing while making this sketch! After making 10 get well cards (see post below) and designing cards and misc. stuff for TAC's December Stamp of the Month...nothing was working with this one! It took me several hours and numerous starts and stops. Grrr! So, for such a simple sketch....it is what it is!











Paper is from The Crafter's Workshop called enchanted complements that came in a 8 x 8 pack. The top strip measures 1 3/4 x 5 1/2 and then I layered it with white card stock. The oval is cut using nestabilities, then sponged around the edges. Three brass brads were added to the right hand side. This could be used as a masculine birthday card, which I don't have a lot of in my stash. That's the only highlight in this time consuming project! =)

Get well cards

Hey everyone - hope you had a wonderful weekend! My hubby and I went on a road trip on Saturday and we got some awesome pictures! The leaves are really starting to turn and we found snow in the mountains!!!

These were taken over in Wenatchee, which is in Eastern Washington and the mountain range is Stevens Pass.

Anyway, my step mom asked me to make her some generic get well cards that were on the simple side. So thought I'd show you what I came up with. I had to make ten of these!

Most of these stamps you have seen before in previous posts, except the last one above. The stamps are from Image Tree from EK Success.

Card Sketch #95 - Delph Blue

Hi all - happy Wednesday! Here is sketch #95 - Delph blue, measuring the normal A2 size. As you can see I was in a blue mood! =) Just kidding - I just got a set of the versamagic dew drops and in the set was this wonderful Night Sky Blue chalk ink! I knew I had to do something with it - just a gorgeous color!
The ornament is stamped off once to create the back ground panel in a softer color. The main diamond is embossed with clear embossing powder to give it a bit of shine! Both panels are sponged around the edges and inked direct to paper. This gave them a more defined edge to go with the softer sponged look. Clear as mud?

I actually got out the old Marvy square punches to create the diamond. I still have not invested in the square nestabilities as of yet. So, had to resort to the old punches - I so need to get out the foil and wax paper, these punches are sadly neglected and in need of tuning up! The navy blue grosgrain ribbon was added to the left side to finish things off.
