Moody blue snowflake - TSOT#680

Hi, and welcome back to another sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.

I used the shattered background stamp from SA and Tim Holtz to create the background for this.  I stamped in versamark onto watercolor paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder first.  Then I used Paynes Grey acrylic ink from Daler Rowney to get the dark moody blues.  The large snowflake is an old die from My Favorite Things.  Added a few clay snowflake shaker elements and called it good.

Thanks for stopping by.

The snowflake is from my stash.

Hello. I'm playing in The Paper Players sketch challenge today with this card.

The flower stamp is from Lesia Zgharda and colored with Copic Markers.  The sentiment is from Simple Stories.

I left this pretty clean and simple so that the gorgeous flower stood out!  Thanks for stopping by.

Happiest of birthdays - SSC370

I actually doodled the flowers using a Zig Millennium pen.  I started with cutting out the postage stamp die from Gina K Designs and used it as a stencil to blend a light blue background using Oxide ink.  The sentiment is from Waffle Flower.

It's a good day - TSOT#678

Hi, and welcome back to a new sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.

Ok - this one needs a bit of explaining.  The main panel of this card is made using a napkin and some plastic wrap.  You know the technique of ironing the napkins onto a piece of cardstock by melting plastic wrap between the two with an iron.  Yep, this is that technique.  I told you I'd made a few! ;-)

The label die is from Pretty Pink Posh, and the sentiment is from Sizzix stamps.  I have so many dragonfly dies in my stash that I cannot remember who makes them anymore.

Merry Christmas - SSC368

Hello. Welcome back to another sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Michael's brand of wood block stamps. I got it in their Christmas section several years ago. I stamped it in Versamark and heat embossed it with gold to match the strip of gold mirror cardstock on the left.

The sprig die cuts are made from several companies' dies.  Echo Park, Simon Says Stamp, Carta Bella, etc.  I did add some self-adhesive white pearls to resemble berries on the branch.

Thanks for stopping by.
