Hugs! - SSC365

Hi all. We have a new sketch up over at Sunday Stamps.

The corner dies are from Papertrey, Ink that I've had in my stash forever.  The gingham paper comes from Echo Park and the circle hugs stamp is from Concord & 9th.  I also used C&9 eucalyptus ink and cardstock.

This should be a fun sketch - I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thinking of you - TFC#104

Hi again. Here is another card that I created for the color challenge over at The Flower Challenge.

I used the same Distress Ink colors in Peacock Feather and Ripe Persimmon.  The flower dies are from Casual Fridays, and the sentiment is from Parklane stamps.  I added some white self-adhesive pearls to the centers of the flowers for added interest.

Hope you'll join us for this challenge.  The Flower Challenge

Happy Birthday - TSOT#674

Hello. It's time for another sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.

This was a fun background to make. A lot of smooching and layering going on!

Inks are from Simon Says Stamp - their pawsitively saturated inks react with water brilliantly.  The  number stencil is from Tim Holtz, and I used some crackle embossing paste from Ranger.  The birthday sentiment die was cut from TH black alcohol ink cardstock. I also used a script stamp from Darkroom Door within the background.

To create the circles, I used the top of an old Jello container, two different bottle caps I had laying around with the darkest blue ink, then spritzed with water.

Below is the sketch and here is the link to play in the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Get well soon - SSC364

Hi there. There is a new sketch up over at Sunday Stamps.  Here is what I did with it.

The flowers are from Penny Black.  I stamped them with Versafine ink onto watercolor paper. I did heat emboss them so that the watercolors would pool a bit with the Mei Liang watercolors.  After they dried, I used a black gel pen to enhance the centers and then fussy cut them out.

The ribbon is colored with a copic marker to match.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you'll join us for the sketch.

You're one in a melon

Hello.  I'm playing in the Just Us Girls die challenge today.  They are looking for summer things
in your stamps and dies.  Here is what I came up with.

The watermelon stamp and dies are from Sunny Studio. I stamped them in black Versafine ink and then heat embossed, so that I could color them with Copic markers.

The sentiment is from Memory Box.  I dug through all my cardstock and came up with colors that matched the watermelons and used them for layering and the fishtail banners.

The stitched dot dies are from Jillian Vance Designs.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday - TFC#104

Hello! It's time for a new sketch over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.

I used the cone flower die from Simon Says Stamp as the focal point, along with the big hello die from SSS CZ Designs.

I cut the flowers out of basic white cardstock and then blended butter and mocha ink from SSS to color them accordingly.  The designer paper is from Lasting Impressions.

Just a note

Hello. I'm playing in the one-layer sketch challenge over at The Paper Players today. It's been ages since I've made a one-layer card.

I ink blended the circle using inks from Simon Says Stamp.  The butterfly is an old wood block stamp from Stamin Up!  The sentiment comes from The Ton, and I used a piercing die from Gina Marie Designs to add some interest around the perimeter of the card.

This card came together quickly. Thanks for stopping in.

A little note - SSC363

Hello. We have a new color inspiration up over at Sunday Stamps.

The sentiment is an old $1 stamp from Studio G.  I used Simon Says Stamp saturated ink to match the colors in the photo below.  The card base is a deep navy blue. The flower stencil is from Gina K Designs.

You got this

Hi....
I decided to play with this week's Freshly Made Sketch differently.  Instead of a flower, you get this dare.

It's a bit in your face with the sentiment, but it inspires you to go ahead, eat the entire double-decker cone!

The embossing folder is from Stampin Up.  The ice cream dies are from Simon Says Stamp, as is the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessed are the curious

Hello.  Today, I'm sharing a mixed-media card that I created a while ago. It goes well with the Just Us Girls Challenge of number(s).

I started out with watercolor paper and used speckled egg ink to color the background.  Then added rice paper from Stamperia. The stamps in the background were randomly done to create interest.  The focal point gears are a die from Memory Box, and the sentiment is a sticker from Tim Holtz.  To finish this, I splattered some gold paint over the top.

Stamps:
Creative Expressions - Sam Poole
Stamperia - Dewdrops, Vicky P
Lesia Zgharda

Thank you - TSOT#672

Hi everyone. We have a new sketch challenge up over at TSOT.  I decided to go with a masculine theme on this one.

The embossing folder is from Tim Holtz. I used metal tape from the hardware store to create the panel using the folder.  I did take a black distress crayon and add some grunge to it.  The designer papers are from MFT stamps.

Here is a close-up of the embossed and distressed panel.

I hope you join us! Below is the sketch

Hello - SSC362

Hi everyone. It's time for a new challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  This time we have a sketch from Melissa to try.

I used an alcohol ink background that I had in my stash to create the card using the sketch.  As you can see, I did some ink lifting, which left those wonderful ghost leaves in the background.  The die cut sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  Here is the sketch.

Hope you're feeling better soon

Hello. I'm playing in the Just Add Ink challenge to choose two.  It's between die cut, flower, and ribbon.  Also adding this to the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.

The tag is cut from fabric, and I used a purple flower rub-on to decorate it.  I colored the ribbon with a Copic marker to match the colors in the flowers.  The sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh, and it's stamped in Versafine ink.

Stitch dot rectangle dies are from Jillian Vance Designs.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just a note TFC#103

Hello everyone! We have a new challenge over at The Flower Challenge. We want to see embossing, either heat or dry.

I used an embossing folder from Spellbinders that I've had for a bit but haven't used.

The flower stamp is from Just for Fun. I used Tombow markers to color directly on the stamp and reactivated the ink by huffing on it.  The sentiment is from The Ton.
