With Sympathy

Hello. Playing in the Just add Ink #741 challenge of simple and elegant today.  I need to add a few sympathy cards to my stash, so I used this challenge as a starting point.

I cut out a long rectangle using a die onto a piece of cardstock and used it as a stencil for the background on this card.  The silhouette stamp is an old one from Papertrey, ink and stamped in versafine ink.  The sentiment is from Honey Bee stamps.  The stitched outline die is from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sending a little note

Hi all! I'm playing in the theme challenge over at The Paper Players today.  It's all about spring flowers.

The tulip stamp is from the Friendship Jar Fillers from Papertrey, Ink. I stamped it in Simon Says intense black ink so that I could color them with Copic markers.

The sentiment is from The Stamp Market and the stitched dies are from MFT stamps.

Thanks for stopping by!

happy birthday - TSOT#665

Hello and welcome back to another sketch challenge over at Try A Sketch on Tuesdays.

I kept mine super clean and simple this time.  The birthday sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and the embossing folder is an old one from Provo Craft/Cuttlebug.  I used dark green cardstock from C&9th to layer and add the stripes on the side.  Sketch below and link to blog is here.

Congrats

Hello everyone. Welcome to another challenge over at The Flower Challenge.  We are celebrating 100 challenges this go around and we have prizes to give away for playing along.  We are looking for you to add circles to your flower cards.

The circle embossing folder is from Penny Back. I surrounded it with flowers cut from Pink Fresh Studio dies.  I did use inks color the dies cuts before adding them around the embossing.  The congrats sentiment is from Tim Holtz sizzix dies set.

I'm giving away this retired Pink Fresh Studio set, which I have never used. We will be drawing winners randomly.  I hope you join us!

Thinking of you

Hello. Playing in a few challenges today with the following Thinking of You card.

I started off using the sketch from CAS on Fridays.  The tag dies are from PTI and MFT.  The tulip stencil is from Echo Park and I used Simon Says Stamp inks and a mini blending brush to create the panel. The sentiment is from Park Lane which I stamped in black ink then heat embossed in clear.

Below are the challenges I'm entering this into:
Tic-tac-toe challenge - I used the middle going across
Just add ink - Thinking of you and embossing (heat)

Hello and welcome to another sketch challenge at Try a Sketch on Tuesdays.  Here is the card I made and the sketch for you to use.

The sun ray is blended using bright yellow ink from Pink Fresh studio.  All the dies are from different companies that worked well together to create this get-well card.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  I used Copic markers to highlight the clouds and popped them up using foam tape.

Sketch

Masculine birthday

Hello. I'm playing in the CAS masculine challenge over at The Paper Players today.

Okay, so this was an experiment on an idea I saw on Instagram from a DT for Altenew. Sorry, I cannot remember who it was, but they used Altenew's new embossing paste on an embossing folder, and it was such a cool technique that I just had to try it. I used a 2D embossing folder from Darice and Simon Hurley's Lunar paste in refined copper.  Put it on thick (next time I do this, even more so) and let it dry overnight.  Then I just carefully peeled it off. I used a thin coat of Mod Podge to glue it to the cardstock.

The sentiment is from Memory Box and I heat embossed it with Copper Penny by Brutus Munroe. Added a few metal gears for interest and to tie it all together.

Thanks for stopping by.
