FOREVER - TSOT#679

Hi all! It's time for another sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday. This one has a bit of a different spin to it.  We are looking for you to doodle anywhere on your project!!!

I actually doodled the flowers using a Zig Millennium pen.  I started with cutting out the postage stamp die from Gina K Designs and used it as a stencil to blend a light blue background using Oxide ink.  The sentiment is from Waffle Flower.

Just because - SSC369

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  This week we have a photo prompt for you.

I used dark blue paper in three shades behind the white leaf outline, but it's so hard to tell in the photo.  The sentiment is from The Stamp Market.  The leaf dies are from Gina K Designs.  I used three blue gems from Honey Bee Stamps in the middle of the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by.

With Sympathy

Hello. I'm playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today with this sympathy card.

The branch stamp is an old woodblock one from Memory Box.  I used Tombow markers to color the branch and leaves, and then huffed on it to reactivate the inks.
The stitch dot dies are from Jillian Vance Designs, and the sympathy sentiment is from The Ton.

Thanks for stopping in.

Hello. Playing in a few challenges today with this fall card.

The leaf die is from Simon Says Stamp.  I used old book pages to cut out several leaves.  Then, I proceeded to distress them using Ranger Distress inks.  The sentiment is from The Ton, and I added some clear dew drops for added interest.

It's a good day - TSOT#678

Hi, and welcome back to a new sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.

Ok - this one needs a bit of explaining.  The main panel of this card is made using a napkin and some plastic wrap.  You know the technique of ironing the napkins onto a piece of cardstock by melting plastic wrap between the two with an iron.  Yep, this is that technique.  I told you I'd made a few! ;-)

The label die is from Pretty Pink Posh, and the sentiment is from Sizzix stamps.  I have so many dragonfly dies in my stash that I cannot remember who makes them anymore.

Merry Christmas - SSC368

Hello. Welcome back to another sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Michael's brand of wood block stamps. I got it in their Christmas section several years ago. I stamped it in Versamark and heat embossed it with gold to match the strip of gold mirror cardstock on the left.

The sprig die cuts are made from several companies' dies.  Echo Park, Simon Says Stamp, Carta Bella, etc.  I did add some self-adhesive white pearls to resemble berries on the branch.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello

Hello!  I'm playing in several challenges today with this card.  I started with the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, opting for a one-layer card and using a stencil.

The mint background grunge stamp is from Globeland.  The leaf is from Stampin.com, which is no longer in business.  The sentiment is from my favorite things.  I stenciled the mini dragonfly using black texture paste from Ranger.

Here are the challenges:

Natural honey

Hello. I'm playing in the Freshly Made Sketch #700 today.

The stamp set is from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Every Day Elements from Annette Green, called Honeybee.  The honey comb stamp in the set is used for the squares, and then I heat-embossed the natural honey label. As you can see I also fussy cut another bee and popped it up over the bee on the label.  Added a bit of bling to his wings with a shimmer pen and rock candy glitter.

I used shrink plastic to create the small organic honey circle and then colored it to match the paper.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy your day - TSOT#677

Hi, and welcome back to a new sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.

Ok - this one needs a bit of explaining.  The middle section of triangle is made using a napkin and some plastic wrap.  You know the technique of ironing the napkins onto a piece of cardstock by melting plastic wrap between the two with an iron.  Yep, this is that technique.  I made a few, so you might see more of them later.

The sentiment is from Poppy Stamps, and I used dark green cardstock that matched the color of the ferns.

Thanks for stopping by.

Let it snow - SSC367

Hello. Welcome back to another sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps.

This sketch is a good one to add to your arsenal for repeated use!

The stencil in the background is done with color fuse ink from Rubbernecker (Brass & Bliss).  The sentiment is from PTI and stamped in Versafine ink.  The snowflake is from SSS and cut out of neenah cardstock.  Then I decided to use some navy blue glitter on it.

I'm not a fan of glitter, but this turned out pretty good.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with this sketch.

Thanks for stopping by.
