Pink flower on kraft

Hi everyone! Here's my take on Darnell's NBUS challenge to use colored pencils on kraft. I really struggled with finding something that I liked using colored pencils, and finally ditched them and grabbed my Zig water color markers.  Darnell, I hope you don't mind. ;-)

Flower is from Hot Off The Press, and heat embossed using white detail embossing powder. If you enlarge the photo you will see a bit of sparkle that is added using the Spectrum sparkle pens. I used the clear one on both the pink and green.

The thank you is from Simon Says Stamp that I just got in the mail. Added some white enamel drops from Fabrika Decoru to give it more dimension.

I'm also going to add this into The Paper Players clean and simple Flowers challenge.

Thanks for stopping in, see you soon.

Haha, of course I don't mind, Laurie! In fact, I'm glad to read that you did NOT use colored pencils on this beautiful card because when I saw it in the gallery, I thought OMG, however did she manage such spectacular vibrancy with colored pencils?! I mean, I do love the look of cp/k, but let's be honest, the Ziggies are the most vibrant. And you also showed me just how great they look on kraft! I have never tried or even thought of coloring with my Ziggies on kraft, but I love it and now will try it myself, so thank you! And thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #8! Hugs, Darnell

What a gorgeous flower Laurie - the pink really does pop against the Kraft. A stunning single bloom. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!
