As you can see there is a lot of texture going on in this! I started with a normal sized water color page and added some gesso to get things rolling.
Using stencils in the top right and lower left I got out the modeling paste. After it dried I used some spray inks to get the turquoise and brown look.
Used some die cuts along the way, some chip board, a stamp (bee) and added the imagine sticker. Lastly, I added some shine using gold mica powder on the texture that I wanted stand out.
I'm interested in mixed media to a point. The perfectionist in me thinks that it's missing something or just a plain old hot mess and I get a bit frustrated with it. I guess it's just time for me to relax and let the creativity flow! This page, I obviously liked or I wouldn't have shown it on my blog.
Thanks for dropping by and hope your being creative!

You rock, Laurie! You are much braver than I am! Great project!
How creative, great blend of colors and textures!
Absolutely delightful and well done! I with you, I like a little more control, I don't get it, but I sure like it when I do!
Oh I Like it a lot - I see so much of the mixed media and I am liking them more and more. I think this would be very nice framed and hung in a craft room!!!
Love the color combo, Laurie!! Fun elements, very pretty journal page!!
