Chalkboard Birthday

Hi everyone! I found something recently at my local craft store and had to try them. It's called chalkstock which is made by Canvas Corp. and came in artist trading card size. It came 10 to a pack for $3.95 which is kind of spendy but fun to play around with! Here's what I did with it.

The daisy stamp is from TAC and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. Both are stamped in yellow chalk ink from Studio G. I did also experiment with writing on it with plain old fashioned chalk and it works wonderful. I just didn't like my handwriting!

I added a small self adhesive white pearl to the center of the flower, small enough that the black still shows through. Black gingham ribbon is tied to the yellow cardstock prior to it being adhered to the white card base.

Real clean and simple but doesn't it make a statement?

It does, indeed, make a statement, Laurie! Black and white and yellow are so pretty together! Great card - thanks for sharing!

Oh that's beautiful, Laurie! Lovin' the lemony yellow as a contrast to the black and white.
