Hi all! Today's challenge over at the Digi Shack is to print a digi image on designer paper. Or think of it as digital paper piecing. To do this, all you have to do is cut down your dp to fit through your printer, then cut out as usual. Here is my example.
The sentiment is computer generated - isn't that font awesome?
I made the back ground paper using distress inks in Pine Needles and Broken China. The inks are swiped onto a craft sheet, spritzed with water and then the cardstock is smooched down into it. My heat gun was used to speed up the drying process and then I ran it through the swirls cuttlebug folder because it looks like waves of water to me.
The designer paper I used for the fish and his guitar (yes, the guitar is paper pieced too and colored a bit with Copic's) is from Paper Pizazz. A glue stick was used to adhere him onto the labels 4 nestie cut out. Finally I sponged around the edges of the label and the tag with the Broken China distress ink. Lastly, I took two rhinestones and colored them turquoise with my Copic Marker to color coordinate.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the design teams blogs to see what they did with this challenge - and please leave them some bloggy love! Thanks for stopping by!
