Tic Tac Toe challenge

Hi everyone. Time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. We were challenge to use the graphic below to create our card. Here is what I did with it.

I used the pine branch and added some snow to it using flower soft (remember that stuff?).  Then I cut it out using a stitched die and added some green buttons.  The corrugated cardstock is from DCWV.

This was a super fun challenge! So why not join in?

Play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in one weekly challenge or all of them. The more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a
Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Ombre hugs

Hello. Here is my card for a few challenges today. I started off with the color challenge of Ombre over at Less is More.

The "sending hugs" dies are new from MFT, so that counts for the challenges over at Just Us Girls and Simon Says Stamps.

To get the ombre effect, I used shaded lilac distress ink and a round ink blender. Once I got what I sort of liked, I cut out the words then added some water splotches to the rest of the panel.

I took some seam binding and dyed it with the matching reinker.

My apologies for the dark photo, it's a nasty gloomy day outside. Perfect for doing chores and crafting but not for taking pictures.

See you soon!

Birthday wishes

Hello. Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

I used stamps from Purple Onion Designs and memento markers to create the scene.

Vertical greeting is from Gina K Designs.

Dug up some pink cardstock to match the memento marker to create the side panels and layer behind main panel. Lastly, added some black dots to the flower centers with a black soot distress marker.

Pretty quick and simple, which was a bonus during my busy day today!

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!

Designer choice challenge

Hello. To start off the new year at The house that stamps built is a designers choice challenge. Shirley wants us to make a winter card. It sure has been cold and clear in my neck of the woods, so I came up with this.

I stamped the trees in field green dye ink from Hero Arts and then continued to ghost stamp it in the back ground.

Using a snow stencil, I added some dimension with embossing paste. I did spritz it with frost shimmer spray to give it a bit of sparkle.

You can find the tree and sentiment stamp at Repeat Impression at the link below.

So what are you waiting for?!

Birthday wishes

Hi everyone.  Less is more is all about dimension and here is what I came up for that challenge.

I've had the flower colored up and sitting in my "to make" box for so long I forgot who makes this stamp. I did add some stardust shimmer to it, but of course it's hard to see in the picture.

For my dimension, I added Fabrika Decoru night shade to all the little black dots on the stamped image and a few on the right side. I gotta tell you, this stuff is just awesome and way better than any other enamel drops out there. Comes in so many colors, glitters and glass effects. Da bomb, I say! You can find it here.

Sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping in, see you soon!

Happiness Always

Hi everyone. Happy New Year. Here is my take on the sketch over at MFT card challenges.

Flower stamp and sentiment are from MFT, as well as all the stitched dies used in this card.

I used Memento markers to color directly onto the stamp and then misted it with water to get this water color look.

Green banner in the back ground was done using water color paper and distress inks. I was trying to match the color I used on the leaves of the flower. Got pretty close.

Vintage cream cardstock is from PTI.
