stay cool

Hello.  Playing in a few challenges today.  Started off using this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

The sketch looked to me like a jeans pocket, so that is what I went with. Of course, I had to distress it.  I started with some navy white core cardstock from DCWV and then used a small skinny oval die from My favorite Things to cut the holes. Then scratched it up with a sanding block and distressed the edges. Also used a dot border die on the edges and then went over it with a white gel pen.

The felt flowers were from my stash that I got from Ribbons and bow oh my, ages ago. They're kind of teenage girlie so that works for the TGIF Challenge.

The stay cool sentiment stamp is from Studio G. I used a strip of silver glitter washi tape and a small heart die to cut out hearts and added them onto the pocket to add some bling.

That it for now, thanks for stopping in.

Ha! Before I even started reading your blog post I said to myself "that looks like a jeans pocket!" You've done a great job making that look like a pair of distressed jeans! And I love the little cluster of flowers. Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Who would have thought to use your tiny oval die to distress jeans, what a great idea and talk about thinking out of the box, you rocked it girl. Love the pretty flowers.
