Kisses

Hi there! Here's card that came about because I was playing around with some new rubber from The Angel Company. This is from the set Mama Wants.

Let me give you some back ground on this one. My mom was notorious for leaving tissues laying around (and in her purse too) with lips on them. She always had lipstick on and was always blotting it! That is what came to mind when I saw this particular stamp from the set.

So, of course I had to recreate one of those tissues! Stamped in pure poppy (because she always wore bright pink/red lipstick) onto tissue paper and then once dried, I added some clear gel glaze pen to shine it up!

Background created with the lips that are stamped randomly all around. Sentiment was done with a marker on the stamp (it says Hugs & Kisses) and I wanted just kisses...so used a marker to make that happen.

White is used as the card base, black and red cardstock used to layer. I was searching around for some really cool designer paper to go with this, but ended up getting frustrated because I couldn't find anything in my stash of papers, and I have a lot! Isn't that a bummer! Oh well, it is what it is!

Thanks for stopping in! By the way, how many of you blot your lipstick (if you wear it) and leave the tissue someplace other than the garbage can? I have to admit that I stopped wearing lipstick a while back ago since I don't have an "office" to go to everyday. However, that doesn't mean that I don't have at least 12 tubes of it in my makeup drawer!

Love love love this card and the story that goes with it - I remember my grandma wore not only red lipstick but also "rouge" on her cheeks - she was an AVON lady and always had the latest colors!!! I don't wear much lipstick either - for some reason hubby just doesn't like it so...
