Dry Brushing technique

Hi all. I decided to play along with the Make it Monday challenge over at Capture the Moment. This week they showcased a new (to me) technique called dry brushing. Here's my card.

Yes, I know it's Friday and this is a Make It Monday challenge, but decided to try it anyway! I brushed on white acrylic paint onto light green cardstock from Bazzill very lightly as I was going for the subtle look. Then I stamped on the leaf vine in Palette Fresh Snow, however it just got lost. So, I ended up adding some white embossing powder to it and heat embossed. Now you can see it. :-)

I'm not really sure if I'm satisfied with my choice of green ink for the main image. I was really going for a monochromatic match with the cardstock but in all my choices of green ink, this is the only one that came close.

Spellbinders nesties used for the rectangle and the lacey border and the pearls are from Queen and Co. Decided to pop up the main image with foam tape and make everything stand out with the black cardstock.

Stamps are from the Beyond Basic Borders from PTI. Thanks for stopping in and you can find the technique video of this Make It Monday challenge over at Nicole's blog.
