Hi everyone! I've been playing around and practicing on my water coloring technique. I just love this way of coloring, but just can't seem to get the hang of it. I think I'm going to look into taking a class at my LSS. Some of the cards that I see in blogland are so fabulous and I so want to be able to master this! Anyway, below is my latest attempt.
The stamp is from Yvonne Albritton designs and I used a water brush and normal cake water color paints. The back ground is done with wax paper and a Quickutz embossing folder, that I ran through the CB, ironed onto a piece of cardstock and then colored with pine needle green distress ink. It didn't come out at all like I wanted it to, because some of the wax paper design from the previous one transferred over as well. But thought it looked good enough for framing this flower. The corners are done using the Fiskars border punch in just the two corners. The word label is cut (cuttlebug die) from water color paper and then stamped with a sentiment from tag tid bits from TAC.
So, overall - not a bad start - but more practice is definately in order for improving my watercoloring technique! Have a great weekend!

Laurie ~ I clicked on the picture to make it bigger...I don't think you need lessons at all!!! This is coloring at it's best as far as I am concered :)
I love the detail. I think watercoloring is just a "more that you do the better you get" kind of thing and I would love to take some classes, too, but I'd be signing up for yours because you've done an amazing job! Love it!
Love your coloring here!
