This is my first attempt at making a gift box out of chipboard coasters. Actually it came out better than I thought it would. What do you think?
The papers are from die cuts with a view and I got my coasters off of ebay for dirt cheap! My thought process was, if I was going to play around with this coaster box thing, I didn't want to spend lots of money on chipboard, and have it turn out crappy. YKWIM ?
Here's a tip, though...you really need to make sure that you get it "square" before gluing on the bottom piece! Otherwise it gets kind of lopsided! and the bottom isn't as neat as it could be. Check out the bottom left hand corner for reference!
I didn't punch a lot of holes in the sides on this first attempt, either. Quite frankly, I broke my hole punch (cheap one, TG) trying to punch holes and had to resort to my big three hole punch to make holes. It was hard to "see" where I was punching. LOL ! So, I think I will keep trying and get more practice in before actually giving one of these away with goodies packed inside.

I have been wanting to try these... maybe for Easter. I love the blue patterned paper you used and thanks for the tips ~
