Take care of yourself

Hi all. Playing in the Just Add Ink Swirls challenge today.

I used Tim Holtz's Baroque swirl stamp from Stampers Anonymous to stamp the swirl onto watercolor paper. I really loved how it came out, so I decided to cut it down into sections to fit onto an A2 card.  I used dark navy cardstock to layer the panels.  The sentiment is from Pink and Main.

Take care of yourself - TFC#92

Hello everyone. Here is your mid-month reminder about the current challenge going on over at The Flower Challenge blog.  It's a sketch challenge! See sketch below.

Here is another card that I created for the current challenge.

The flower stamp, die and sentiment are from Pink and Main. I water-colored it using Mei Liang watercolors. The dragonfly die is from Stampin Up, however, I made it using shrink plastic and my little pancake maker. I highly recommend that little gadget for doing anything shrink plastic - so much easier than using your heat tool and you don't waste product because it didn't flatten out correctly.

Take care of yourself - TSOT642

Hello and welcome to another sketch challenge at Try a Sketch on Tuesdays.  Here is the card I made and the sketch for you to use.

The flower die is from Honey Bee and I used SSS pawsitively saturated ink in cheeky, blush, pucker, field, and fairway to color the white card stock.  The sentiment strip is from a stamp set from Pink and Main. I stamped it using Versafine ink and then heat embossed it with clear powder. I used a bit of washi tape for the center stripe.

Sketch:

Happy Valentine's Day - TSOT640

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch On Tuesdays.

I used the cover die from C&9 to add the stitch pattern to the card base. The Heart 3D embossing folder is used for the center circle to add some subtle texture. Heart die is from Pink and Main. Decided to add a couple of puzzle pieces to represent a couple (die form IO) and the sentiment stamp is an old one from Papertrey, Ink.  I've had the red plaid ribbon in my stash forever and really like how it finished off this card.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.

Happy St. Pat's

Hello. Playing in the sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps today.

The sentiment is from Studio G clear stamps that I got at M's a long time ago for $1. Remember those?

The embossing folder is from Pink & Main. I used a sheet of watercolor paper and some Simon says stamp pawsitively inks. Did the letterpress technique with the folder and love how it came out.  Tim Holtz happy die from Sizzix was cut out three times and stacked and then I added some clear shine to it using a glaze pen.

Thanks for stopping by.

All you need is love

Hello. Playing over at Time Out Challenges today #229 of Romantic.

Sentiment stamps are from Simon Says Stamp. The embossing folder is from Darice and the heart die is from Pink and Main. I have no idea who made the plaid pink dsp - it's Valentine's Day 6 x 6 paper pack that has been in my stash forever.

Are you thinking about that Beattle's song now?  Sorry for the earworm. ;-)

Love you

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

I used a stitched heart die cut (Pink & Main) and stamped it in unicorn white ink from Hero Arts with a Tim Holtz plaid background stamp. I heat embossed it with detail white embossing powder to get it to stand out even more. Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. Cut out a few small silver hearts to use as embellishments.  Top small ones are red heart sequins.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, once again, they have knocked it out of the park.

Love you

Hello. Playing in the Just Us Girls Plaid challenge today.

I used the Pink and Main stitched heart die to cut the heart out of the center. MFT stitched rectangle die used on outside border as well.  Backed it with plaid, stuck it on a card base and then added the die cuts. Pretty quick and simple card. Plaid paper is from the Holiday plaids from Photoplay.

Which one do you like more?

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Anniversary

Hello. Playing in the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge today. It's a pretty fun sketch, and has a lot of possibilities.

Anniversary sentiment is from Avery Elle and I used a stamping platform to stamp it multiple times like the sketch calls for. I had a heart that I cut out from one of the Pink and Main stitched heart dies and put it to use on this.  The shiny red cardstock, I believe, is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology.

However, since it's an anniversary card and couples are like puzzle pieces that fit together, I added that to the heart. I cannot remember who makes my puzzle pieces cover plate die, but there are a lot of them out there to chose from.

Used the stitched rectangle frame from MFT and popped it up onto a pure poppy red card base and called it done. Super clean and simple.
