Celebrate

Hello. I decided to play along with the sketch over at The Paper Players today.  Here is what I created with it.

I used some digital images for the background panel and tag.  The tag die is from Simon Says Stamp. I used a Copic marker on white satin ribbon to match the colors in the paper.  I used a blue scrap of paper from craft consortium for the middle part.  And the celebrate sentiment stamp is from Tim Holtz.  I also got out my crop-a-dial and set an eyelet into the tag.

To those of you in the US, Happy Independence Day - this year is a big one.  Stay safe and enjoy the festivities with family and friends.

Just keep swimming - SSC389

Hello and welcome back to another sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  I took liberty with the sketch and went with shapes that closely resembled an oval for grins and giggles.

The stamps and dies are from an old set; just keep swimming from Papertrey, Ink.

I ink blended the strip behind the whales and added bubbles before popping the whales down. I colored them both with Copic's.

Thanks

Hi there! I'm playing in the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches with this card.

The circle and strip behind it were taken from a master board I created with mixed media paper and several different mediums.  Crackle paste was used as well as gesso, mattints, paints, etc.

The thanks die has been in my stash forever, so I have no idea who the maker is.  The leaf die is an old one from Memory Box, and lastly the border dot stitched die is from Jillian Vance Designs.

Birthday wishes

Hello. I'm playing in the color challenge over at Just Add Ink today with this card.

The bird stamp is a very old rubber stamp from the former Angel Company.  It's a set that I will never get rid of.  It is colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.  I had the embossed gray panel in my stash, and it came in handy with the color challenge below.  The tag die is from Scrapbook.com.

I'm also adding this into the challenges linked below.

Thanks

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch today with this card.

I created a 4x5 master board of torn book pages, added some gesso, PaperArtsy Infusions, and Kamenskaya liquid gilding. then cut it up for this sketch.  Up close you can see all the cool dimension and colors in the rectangles.

I used Tim Holtz metallic classics as a layer behind and also to cut out the Thanks die from Spellbinders.

Happy Birthday - SSC388

Hello and welcome back to another sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps.

First of all, the textured embossing folder is from Honey Bee stamps. The flowers are a stencil from Taylored Expressions, I used Simon Says Stamp saturated inks throughout.  I cut one of the stencil panels apart to fit the back layer in the back to make everything fit.  The sentiment is from Waffle Flower stamps.

I hope you join us.  Here is the link to play in the challenge.

Grill master

Hello. I'm playing in several Masculine theme challenges today.

Nothing like an apron full of Grill utensils to wish a guy a Happy Birthday.  Stamps and dies are from Honey Bee Stamps, except for the Happy Birthday - which is from Jaded Blossom.  Plaid designer paper is from Papertrey, Ink.

I made a hinge to connect two aprons together for this card.

Happy Birthday

Hi there. I'm playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today with this card.

The confetti in the background is done using Simon says stamp ink and the confetti stencil from Waffle flower stamps. The birthday sentiment is from Jaded Blossoms.  I also used some thin black washi tape to create the separation on the card.

I created the balloons using a large round ballon die (didn't fit on the card) just for the "tie," then a circle die, and piece them together.  Added on the string, bows and a white gel pen highlight and called it good.  All balloon dies are from My Favorite Things.

Let it bee

Hi. I decided to play with this week's Freshly Made Sketch again and came up with this.

I tore my stamps apart looking for a specific stamp and die set for the bee, and frustratingly, never found it.  Ended up fussy cutting this one from Recollections.  I added color using Copic markers and the wings have sparkle spritz on them.

The sentiment is from Creative Expressions, and the die is from Brass & Bliss. I had a yellow background already created in my background stash, so added that behind the dots.  The line of dots that is supposed to resemble the flight of the bee is done using a sewing tracing wheel in black ink.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of you - SSC387

Hello

Hello! I'm playing in this week's Freshly Made Sketch. This is such a creative one too!

I had created this slide with dried flowers and misc stamps (Tim Holtz) a while back. Decided to put it to use with this sketch and lighten the stash level. The hello is also a rub on from TH.

The background was created with an old stamp from Rubbernecker called watercolor background set. I used Simon Says Stamp ink in dew. The black stitches are a die from AALL & create. I did piece them together to create longer strings, if you will.

A deckled edge rectangle die mimics the stitching and tie it all together.
