Hi everyone! I decided to step out on a limb and try something I've never done before and that is a round card. I used the Mojo Monday sketch #252!
Sentiment is from Verve Stamps. I used the largest scalloped circle nestie to create the card base and then added from there.
Designer paper is from my stash and I couldn't even guess where is comes from. As a matter of fact all the purple paper on this card comes from my scrap pile.
The flowers were purchased from Oriental Trading Company years ago, but they work well for this card. Leaves are punched out of green cardstock using the MS craft punch.
Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear what you think of my round card.

Fern - MFTWSC82 sketch
Hi everyone! I got this My Favorite Things newsletter in my email which included a sketch challenge that intrigued me! Here's the sketch.
Here is what I did with it.
Stamps are from Papertrey, Ink. I colored the vase using G21, 24 and 28 Copic makers, then cut it out and popped it up using foam tape.
The designer paper is from Hot Off The Press and the green cardstock is from Bazzill. I used the tab die that I just purchased from MFT to make the tab out of black cardstock. Circle nesties used for the sentiment.
Stamps are from the following sets from PTI:
Vase - Mega gracious vases
Fern - Turning a new leaf
Sentiment - Communique curves sentiments
Thanks for stopping in!

Cased
Hi everyone! I cased this card off of a picture on Pinterest. Changed up the stamps and added a sentiment panel, but used the same color combo. You can find the original card from Kitty here.
Background stamp is from The Angel Company and is stamped in Peeled paint distress ink. The leaf stamp is from K&Company called lotus floral stamps and stamped in Forest Moss distress ink. the flower stamp is from Inkadinkado and I used worn lipstick distress marker and misted with watercolor to get the effects.
Sentiment stamp is from Papertrey, Ink. Small self adhesive gold pearls from Reflections were added to both ends of the panel.
Pink Cardstock is from Hot Off The Press and the green is from Gina K Designs. I used antique linen to sponge around the perimeter of the white panel.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Mojo Monday #251 - Miss u like crazy
Hey there! Well, I did better than I thought I would. It's Wednesday night and I'm done with the Mojo Monday sketch - didn't think I'd be able to get to it until Friday. :-)
Sentiment stamp is from Verve. The little flowers are stamped using markers and the huff method. The stamp is from the former Angel Company. I added some small amber rhinestones from Kaisercraft to the centers of the flowers and the paper flower on the side has a brad in it. I haven't used a brad since I discovered self adhesive pearls and had to dust off the top of the bottle to get one out (giggling)!
Designer paper is from Making Memories which I cut up the last piece of for this card. I added a bit of faux stitching to set it off a bit from the light yellow background.

In my prayers
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a good week! Mine was super busy and left little time for creating in the studio. At least I managed to get one card done today!
Stamps are from Papertrey, Ink called Gracious Vases! I just ordered the supersized version of this set with dies to match! I can't wait to get them!
The vase is colored with Copic's, cut out and then adhered to the card using wacky tack. Orchid is lightly colored with a pink using the colorless blender.
Designer paper is from Daisy D's and I used some really dark gray cardstock to layer/outline it so that it stuck out a bit. I colored the white tiny satin ribbon with a Copic that matched the mat on the main image.
I hate making sympathy cards, but I needed to replenish my stash.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Thanks for dropping by!

Get well soon
Decided to play around with week 2 Viva La Verve sketch over at SCS. Here's what I came up with.
Flower stamp is from Verve and water colored onto WC paper using distress markers and lots of water. I did use Versamark ink and clear embossing powder to heat "set" the flowers before colroing and spritzing with water. Designer paper is from DCWV and the kraft packing paper is something that I recycled which I love the texture of. This whole card is a lesson in textures.
The yellow back ground is done using a embossing plate from PTI and then dusting with wild honey distress ink with a sweeper brush to get the color I wanted. Sentiment stamp is from Kaisercraft.

Yellow flower bunch
Hello!
When I saw the week three Viva La Verve sketch over at SCS, I knew I had to play around with it. Think lots of designer paper!
The flower stamp is from the set Wild for You from The Angel Co. I used distress markers to color directly on the stamp and then huffed on it. The center of the flowers are blinged out with a tiny self adhesive pearls from Kaisercraft.
The designer paper is from and old 6 x 6 pack from Making Memories. Blue cardstock is from American Crafts. White satin ribbon is used for the string.

Birthday Poppies
Hi everyone!
Happy Friday the 13th! Here's a card that took a few days in the making due to me not knowing what I really wanted to do for the back ground. Trial and error later.....
The poppy stamp is from Gina K Designs Hello sunshine stamp TV kit. I colored the stamp with a marker and misted it with water to create a water color effect. Sentiment stamp is from Papertrey, Ink.
The lighter blue in the back ground was done using a piece of copy paper, ranger distress ink in Stormy Sky and white acrylic paint. I cut the copy paper to size and used the ink pad to swipe across the paper to get an even coverage. Let dry and then I mixed up some white acrylic paint with water and gave it a white wash. I did this same technique using vellum but it kept curling, hence the days in the making comment.
Designer paper and red cardstock is from PTI. I used one of the half and half dies also from PTI to cut the red cs.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Buttons and Ribbon Challenge
Hi there! We have a buttons and ribbon challenge going on over at Victorine Originals.
Here is what I came up with.
Sentiment is from Victorine Originals. I've had these cupcake buttons in my stash and decided that it would be a fun focal point for this card and challenge.
I tied on a bit of scrappers floss to the green one after I colored it green with a Copic marker that matched the "frosting" on the cupcake.
Pink satin and organdy ribbon used for the challenge. Bow tied with the bow easy.
Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to join us in the challenge for a chance to win free stamps! Here is the link!

Mojo 248 - Wishing
Hi everyone! Had a few minutes to play around with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch this morning. Here's what I came up with.
Stamps are from the Verve set Kind Words. I used Marvy markers to color directly on the stamp and then spritzed with water to get the water color effect. A little dot of liquid pearls in lemon yellow used for the flower centers.
Blue and white cardstock is from Papertrey. Ink and the gingham designer paper is from A*Muse and was bought at my local stamp store before they went private. Yellow cs is from Bazzill. Pearls are from Queen & Co.

Black and white
Hi everyone! The sun is out and the temperature outside is starting to feel like summer! WooHoo! Here is one of the last cards I made using the new Hello Sunshine Stamp TV kit from Gina K.
The flower is stamped in Colorbox White pigment ink onto black cardstock. I used a die from Memory box to create the white scalloped border and glued it onto the flower panel.
The black and white gingham paper was purchased at my local stamp store. I cut it so that you can see the white cardstock I used for the base of the card. White satin ribbon used to create the bow, which was made using the Bow Easy.
I love the classic look of this card! What do you think?

Celebrate
Hi everyone! Happy Independence Day! Here's a CAS card to celebrate the holiday!
Stamps are from Papertrey, Ink as is the banner die I used to cut out the linen triangles.
Ranger distress dyes were used to color the linen in fired brick and faded jeans. I doubled them up for a bit of dimension and added some bling across the top, using rhinestones from Kaisercraft.
Designer paper is also from PTI.
I hope you all have a happy and safe 4th of July!

Everything
It's seems as though I'm into pink and black these days. Which is Ok, since I tend to use a lot of greens in my designs.
Here's a card I made with the Viva la Verve week 1 sketch for July.
Stamps are from Verve. The butterfly is colored with Copic's and then cut out. I used some craft wire to form it's antenna and then popped it up using foam tape.
Designer paper is from Making Memories, black and white cardstock is from PTI. The grosgrain ribbon is layered so that it sort of stands out. It's kind of bugging me that its not perfectly even. But it is what it is.
Thanks for stopping in...I've got to get back to cleaning house and laundry! Have a great week.
