May Flowers
Hi everyone! There is a challenge going on over at Victorine Originals called May flowers. Here is my take on it.
Flower stamp is from VO and I stamped it onto cream cardstock using the marker and huff method. I added gold tiny self adhesive pearls that I got from M's to the center of each flower.
Vintage cream and linen cardstock is from Papertrey, Ink. The pinks and green are from Hot off the press.
Dies used:
Mat stack from PTI
Sentiment stamp is from PTI and the die used is from Verve
Tessatina border is from Memory box
The design team over at VO would love to see you participate in this bi-weekly challenge. You could be randomly drawn to win free stamps!! Who doesn't like free stamps?
Thanks for stopping by!

Best Dad Ever
Hello all! I completed this Father's Day card for the Diva Dare challenge going on at Verve. I just got some of the new April release stamps in the mail and just had to play around a bit! The challenge is to use chipboard, corrugated cardboard, or kraft on your creation. I chose to use kraft cardstock.
I used Ranger Archival Ink to ink up the stamps from the Super Dad set. Loving the new ribbon banner die that goes with it!!! I cut up some smaller banners using the same die and then ran them through an embossing folder to give them a bit of manly plaid texture.
Designer paper is from my stash that I colored red using the fired brick distress stain. Button is from American crafts and the self adhesive black pearls are from Kaisercraft.

Inspired vases
Hi everyone! I played around with the inspiration challenge over at splitcoast on Saturday. Here is what inspired me at this site and what I did with it.
Vase stamp is from Papertrey, Ink and stamped in versamark then heat embossed with glacier white embossing powder. Stems are stamped in Palette Jardin Moss. I used black cardstock to cut the layer out and make the light green main image really pop.
All cardstock is from Bazzill, except for the white and black which is from PTI. The big scallops were cut from the Quikutz cookie cutter die. Two white self adhesive pearls added for dimension. Sentiment stamp is from PTI as well and stamped in Archival ink.
I had just used the white lace on the card but it looked really blah to me so I colored some white satin using the G24 Copic Marker that went so well with all the rest of the card and inserted it on top of the lace. Main image is popped up using foam tape.
Thanks for stopping in. I'd love to hear what you think of my inspiration card!

CAS blue balloon
Hi everyone! Replenishing my birthday card stash with some clean and simple designs. Here's one that I really like...
Balloon stamp is from PTI and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. The green swiss dot paper is from Bazzill, and the blue and white cardstock from PTI.
Button is from American crafts an tied on with some thin twine. I used Navy ink from A*Muse to stamp the balloon.
Dies used on this card are from Spellbinders and Papertrey Ink.
Thanks for stopping by!
Here's a recent picture of Chloe!
After it finally stopped raining on Friday morning, I decided that she'd been cooped up enough. She proceeded to run like a wild women all over the back yard, which was a muddy mess. This is her saying "Hi" - wanna play? Thank goodness she is still small enough to hold and clean off at the same time.

Red Velvet
Hi everyone! Playing around with the latest cake image from PTI's set called Tremendous Treats - Birthday.
The frosting on this is done using stickles. Designer paper is from My Minds Eye and the cornice punch from MS Crafts used on the dark red cardstock. The grosgrain ribbon did not photograph very well - but it's a really close match to the yellows that are in the dp.
Keeping things CAS for a few birthday cards to replenish my stash! Thanks for dropping by!

Moochas Gracias and pictures of Chloe!
Hi all! It's been a very trying weekend. First of all we brought Chloe home, then I came down with the flu late Saturday. Just now getting my energy back and it's Tuesday afternoon. This one hit me hard!
Here's a card that I made a while ago for a "anything goes challenge" over at Victorine Originals, but it appears that we have lost our DT leader. So, not sure if this challenge will go up or not over on the blog.
Just a quick, clean and simple card made with gray cardstock, some Copic markers and the half and half die from Papertrey, Ink. Designer paper is from my stash and unknown who made it. All stamps are from Victorine Originals.
As promised, here are a few shots of Chloe.
Noah and her have gotten off to a great start of being playmates! If they could play 24/7, I'm sure they would! A tired puppy is a happy puppy!

Pastel
Hey everyone! Here's an old card that I hesitated to post since I'm not too fond of it.
Not really sure why I'm not liking this, but it just doesn't work for me for some reason. Stamps are from A Muse. Spellbinders labels die used to cut it out and layered with blue cardstock from Hot Off The Press. The designer paper is from Basic Grey. I hand drew the black border around the outside using a ruler and Copic Multi liner pen. Studio G chalk ink used to stamp the flower.
Cornice punch from MS Crafts is used on the top blue piece of CS. Pink satin ribbon is tied into a double bow using the Bow Easy.
What do you think?
Picking up new puppy today! Chloe is an 11 week old Alaskan Malamute that will be joining Noah in tearing up things around here. Pictures soon!

Fore your birthday
Hey bloggers! When I got home from Alaska I had a nice package of stamps from PTI waiting for me to play around with. Here's the first card made with the new set called On the links.
The sentiment looks a little tilted to me...Hmm! Might need a re-do, but then again it is popped up using foam tape so that might be the reason. I sponged around it with green ink and it's cut out using the window word die from Spellbinders.
A self adhesive pearl is used for the golf ball. I kept things very clean and simple with this one as I'm sure I'll be using it for a guy! Green cardstock is from my stash and I'm pretty positive its from Bazzill.
Inks used: Studio G lime green, Palette Jardin Moss, Archival black and Red from Colorbox.

Sight seeing at 10,000 feet
Hey everyone!
I had the unexpected opportunity to take a flight over Soldotna AK and see some of the landscape! Here are a few pictures that I snapped while on board that little Cessna airplane!
The pilot calls his plane the "ugly duckling!"
Me, strapped into the harness with the headset on and ready for take off!
Shadow of the plane with the gorgeous mountains in the back ground.
Great shot of the Kenai river, which is still frozen in a lot of places. I caught this shot between propeller spins. ;-)
Again, the Kenai river that is actually free of ice. There are actually guys down there fishing!
This adventure was just breathtaking and a once in a life time opportunity! What a rush!

Easter card
Hi everyone! Since Easter is this coming Sunday, thought I'd share with you my card for the occasion.
So, What's Shaking? Obviously this bunnies tail! Which is cotton by the way! Stamps are from Verve. I used C00 and C01 to color the bunny.
The picture is a little on the dark side, so my apologies! However, the card in real life is super cute!
Designer paper is from My Minds Eye. I used the big layers Mat stack 3 die from Papertrey, Ink as a anchor for the main image. The dies I used on the sentiment come from Verve and work so well with so many sentiments.
The yellow cardstock is from DCWV and I used the scalloped die from Lifestyle crafts to cut it. Blue grosgrain ribbon that matches the blue polka dots used to hide the seam!
I hope you have a wonderful Easter with family and friends.

Pictures from Alaska
Hey everyone! Just stopping in to post a few pictures from Alaska.
Moose chomping away at the trees right out our hotel window.

Check out the mountains in the back ground.
It's been a mixed bag when it comes to the weather. The sun has been out the last two days trying to melt the record snowfall this year. It's gonna take a while!

April Showers Challenge
Hi everyone! There's an April Showers challenge going on over at Victorine Originals Blog. Here's what I did with it.
Obviously nothing dramatic! Stamp is from VO and colored with Copic's. The gray designer paper is from Sizzix and the yellow card stock came out of my stash of scraps.
I added a bit of stardust sparkle to the lightening bolt but it really didn't pick up in the picture. Black rhinestones are from Kaisercraft.
The inside of this card reads "Feeling under the weather?" which is a part of the original stamp. I did a little bit of fussy cutting to separate the two so that I can use the sentiment by itself.
Thanks for dropping in.
