Hello everyone!
I can't believe that August is here already! Wow, summer is almost gone!
Here are two quick cards I'd like to share with you. This first one is done using TAC stamps.
The green designer paper is from Basic Grey and the blue carstock is from Bazzill. I used a self adhesive pearls from Kaisercraft for the centers of the flowers. The border punch is from EK success. Nothing like a Clean and Simple card to send off to someone to brighten their day!
I really love this bear, full bodied or just his head and you can find him at The Digi Shack! Anyway, colored with Copic's and cut out using the labels 5 die. Kraft, brown cardstock used and the designer paper is from DCWV. I used a Tim Holtz edge die and then sponged some vintage photo distress ink around it. The "hello" is from PTI.
Thanks for dropping by and have a great weekend!

All the coffee...
Here's a sneak peak from The Digi Shack that will be available on August 7th.
Image is from Brian Lock and colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from The Angel Company!
I used the deckled rectangle nestabilities to cut out both the image and sentiment, then went back and sponged on some vintage photo distress ink with a dauber. I did emboss first and left them both in the die to get he sponged effect.
Kraft cardstock is the base of the card and the designer pink paper is from Paper Pizazz. Blue cardstock is from American Crafts. Of course I had to add some bling - amber colored rhinestones from Kaisercraft! So, what do you think?
Again, TDS will be hosting Digi Day over at SNR on August 7th from 6 -8 PM EST.. By the way, TDS has found a cool new site - CDAC and you can find the link here.
Have a great weekend!

Daisies
Hi everyone! Playing around with a new stamp set from The Angel Company!
Back ground on the kraft cardstock was done using the bigger daisy stamped in Palette Fresh Snow. Once that dried I added a bit of yellow (Versamagic thatched straw) to the centers using a dauber.
Labels 4 was used to cut out the daisy and then I sponged on some more thatched straw ink around the outside. The center of the flower is colored with Copic's. The sentiment is stamped in Memento and then layered with black cardstock.
All in all, just a quick card for you today! What do you think?

TDS Wednesday Sketch Challenge
Hello everyone! Here's this weeks challenge over at The Digi Shack!
Here's my take on it!
Image is from Brian Lock and can be found over at TDS. She's colored or shall I say highlighted with Copic markers.
The designer paper is from a DCWV mat stack that I've had in my stash forever! The pinks went well with how the bear is colored. I added the required buttons, which are from American Crafts and they so happen to match the DP. Lucky!!!
Now for the sentiment - pun is intended! I was looking through all my stamps trying to come up with something that would fit this card. Well, what do I find in my collection of Studio G (Micheal's) $1 stamps, but this sentiment! Done!
Doesn't this make a great baby card? Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think! Don't forget to play along with the sketch challenge - it doesn't have to be done with a TDS image, either!
The Digi Shack will be releasing some new images on Saturday, August 7th over at SNR. I'll be show casing a few sneak peaks real soon!

Supplies:
Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
CB embossing folders - polka dots, textile
PTI label die
Circle nestability
Scalloped cookie cutter die by Quickutz
Satin ribbon
Prima flower
Pearls from Kaisercraft
Have a great day and thanks for stopping in.

Go on forever!
Hello everyone. Here's a quick wedding card that I put together using a digital image. I colored it with Copic Markers.
The sentiment is from My cute stamps that I found in a local stamp store somewhere. I think the sentiment is so fresh and different that I just had to buy the set.
I paired the light green with a dark blue to match the colors in the designer paper (Basic Grey) and it also had some of the pink that's in the sweet peas.
Labels 4 was used to cut out the sweet peas and then I layered it onto the dark blue using a labels 8 die. The designer paper was also cut out using that die. I added a bit of Palette Jardin Moss ink around the edges using a dauber.

Hello!
I've a couple of new cards to show you today! This first one is from a new stamp set from The Angel Company called "Oh no she didn't".
She's colored with Copic markers and it went with one of the Dare to get dirty challenges happening right now over at SCS. The challenge was to use a neutral color, red, green and yellow. If you look real closely or click on the picture you can see that I also added some white polka dots to her skirt with a white gel pen.
The new polka dot embossing folder from Provo Craft was used to emboss the red cardstock. It sorta matches the spots and dots on her umbrella! Sentiment is from tag tidbits from TAC.
This next one is one of the new images from Marlene Shaw over at The Digi Shack.
Grass was stamped using a versamark pad on the green cardstock. Stamp is Inspired by Nature from SU. Lawn mower dude is colored with Copics. Great image for a masculine birthday card or father's day card!!!
It's funny, my DH would NEVER cut the lawn in his Adidas slides - no way - no how! He has "special" grass cutting tennis shoes that are permanently stained green specifically for cutting the lawn! Just cracks me up! And they think we're strange for the many different shoes we have for different occasions.....They're just as bad, right?
Have a great weekend!

TDS Wednesday Sketch Challenge
Hey everyone! Happy Hump day! Here is this weeks sketch over at The Digi Shack.
Here's my take on it.
Image is from artist Brian Lock and can be found over at The Digi Shack. I did add a bit of grass to the bottom with a stubby stamp from Stamps by Judith. I'm not sure I like how it turned out though.
Cow and friends are colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with OMS. I think he's just the cutest image! Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink as is the black and white polka dot designer paper.
The photo of this card is not a good one - way too dark and I couldn't lighten it up any more with PSE without totally washing it out.
I found those darling mini buttons at Wal-Mart in the sewing section and fell in love with them. They're just the right size to use like a brad or flower center. Way cheaper than normal scrapbooking buttons too!
Thanks for stopping by and have a creative week!

Hello there!
Hi everyone! I’ve been so busy these last few days that I haven’t been able to update the old blog or blurf around a lot! Check out my facebook page for an update on what I’ve been up to!
Here’s a card I sent out to a special Angel as a RAK.
The girl is colored with Copic’s and all papers are from The Angel Company except for the purple cardstock, which is from Bazzill. However, I just got all the caboodle packs of cardstock, so maybe this shade is in there?
The bow is tied with the bow easy and somehow ended up inside out. Oh, well it still looks awesome tied double. The die is from spellbinders labels 8. Sentiment is from tag tidbits.
I hope my Angel friend get’s her RAK in the mail before she see’s it on here! She’s been in and out of the hospital and I wanted to cheer her up! Hope this does it!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

TDS weekly sketch challenge
Hey everyone! It's that time again - the TDS weekly sketch! Here it is....
Here's my card.
The new PC cuttlebug embossing folder polka dots was used on the white card base. Isn't it yummy?
The polka dot designer paper is from ???? I have no clue! LOL! I think it might be My Minds Eye, but not sure. I paired it with some pure poppy cs from PTI and used the labels 8 dies from Spellbinders.
Digital image is from TDS by Brian Lock and is colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment is an oldie but goody from The Angel Company.
What do you think? Please play along in our weekly sketch challenge over at The Digi Shack, you can use any image/stamp that you want.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Life is short. Bend the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

Well toot my horn
Hey everyone! Happy Monday, that is if you can find anything happy about a Monday!??!
Here's a card I did for a Co-Workers birthday. He'd be the first one to tell you that he's an antique and I thought this would be right up his alley!
The car is stamped in Black ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I used buttons to cover up the "flowers" on the wheels and antenna.
The gray designer paper is from DCWV and the gray cardstock is from American Crafts. I used black cardstock to layer everything and make the road. The white lines on the road were done with a white sharpie paint pen.
Quickutz makes a large and a small name plate die and I used the bigger one to stamp the sentiment on. I just turned it upside down and tucked part of it under the car. The die cuts a border as well as the name plate and I colored that with a Copic marker to match the color theme.
This card was a hit with my co-worker as I got a thank you card in the mail expressing his appreciation! Kind of cool, huh?
Have a great day!

Delightful
Happy Friday! I'm enjoying the hot weather here in Washington state. It's not often is get's up into the high 90's!
Here's a card done with one of the new stamp sets from The Angel Company, called Brighten your day.
This adorable little girl is colored with Copic markers. All paper and embellishments are from TAC. The scalloped edge on the right was done with the long rectangle scalloped die from Spellbinders.
What do you think? There are so many wonderful new images to color in the new catalogue! I just put in a big order and can't wait to get the new stamps so that I can begin to color more.
TAC also has Bazzill cardstock that matches the Copic Markers! Ya hoo! It's called cardstock Color Caboodles and let's just say that I ordered almost all of the sets! Thank goodness I've already collected all the Copic Ciao markers (thanks goodness for Christmas and Birthdays) so that saved a bunch!
Have a great weekend!

TDS Wednesday Sketch Challenge
Happy Wednesday! It's time again for the weekly sketch challenge over at TDS. Here is this weeks sketch.
I had to turn it sideways!
This cute little guy is a new one from Brian Lock and can be found over at The Digi Shack. There are 11 new images that were just released - so go check them out!
I colored the image with Copic Markers, then added a bit of glossy accents to the fish bowl and the water.
The sentiment (Dang it - located in the top right hand circle) is done using snap stamps from Karen Foster - which are no longer available. Bummer! They were so easy to use - just snap the letters together to form words. The inside of this card will say "missed it again! Happy Birthday!"
Designer paper is from Hot off the Press and the cardstock is from American Craft. So, what do you think?
Summer has finally arrived in the Pacific Northwest! We have a saying here - Summer doesn't start until the 5th of July. Temperatures for May and June have hovered in the mid to high 60's with little to no sun!!! Seriously!!!! This week we will see a couple of 90 degree days with cloudless blue skies! Yea! Off to enjoy it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Digi Release day
Hi-ya everyone! Today The Digi Shack released 11 new images! Here's one of them!
This little guy is soooo cute! Colored with Copic's and layered with shades of grey! I could not for the life of me find any nice designer paper that went with him, so I decided to use some digi papers! This card is 5 x 5 square. Sentiment is from PTI.
I used some silver self adhesive pearls strategically around the diamond to mimic the rivets on him.
Here's a up close look!
Isn't he fab?
Stop by The Digi Shack to see him and a few other images from Brian Lock and our very own Marlene Shaw.
See you tomorrow for the weekly sketch challenge!

Red Poppies
Happy 4th everyone! Here's a card I did a while ago with another digital stamp. I'm not sure who the designer of this one is, though.
I colored the poppies bright red because I've been seeing a lot of them lately. It's a nice change from the standard orange California variety.
The poppies are colored with Copic Markers. Using some pure poppy cardstock from PTI, I layered both the main image and the sentiment. The sentiment is also from PTI.
The green cardstock is from Bazzill. And don't ya just love those polka dots in the background?
The stamp is from Stamp Camp. I think I used Memento bamboo leaves ink on it and then cut it out with the square scalloped die from Spellbinders.
Spring green grosgrain ribbon is tied around the bottom and I added some green rhinestones to it for some bling. I really liked how this color combo came together for some reason.
Well, I better get busy and put myself together for our BBQ today. The family is going over to my Dad's to celebrate. I had to make a huge bowl of potato salad to take! Luckily I did that yesterday so that I wouldn't be rushed today. I hope you had a wonderful time with family and friends!
