Planner

Hi everyone! I spent some time today stamping and decorating the first week of my new planner for 2016. I bought the 5 x 7 size from Papertrey, Ink called Moments Inked. I had a bigger version last year and was initially freaked out about the size difference. My handwriting is not very pretty and it tends to be big. But after playing around a bit, here is what I ended up with.

I had already purchased a few dies last year from PTI - specifically the middle To Do List, which I think people are calling a dashboard.

So, while I was waiting for my planner to finally get here I went a head and cut out and stamped on a few of these. Notice that there is a goals tab in the second picture.

I used a variety of stamps on this. I have sets from Hero Arts (Kelly P), Waffle Flower, SSS and PTI that coordinate with planners.

It was also fun using some new washi tape. I sure wish I could stamp on it though. Also Copic markers work really well on the sticker paper from Avery.

I also went through all my stamps looking for anything that caught my fancy to stamp on to this. I used an old TAC stamp, Verve, Avery Elle, PTI, Technique Tuesday, etc.

The quotes are random ones that I got of off Pinterest and then shrank them down to print onto a full version sticker sheet. Some I colored, some I left alone.
I now have a file folder full of all kinds of "stuff" to decorate the next week, which should go a bit quicker. This was kind of fun to put this together, now the hard part is to follow the plan, right?

Happy Anniversary

Hi everyone! I hope the Holidays were good to everyone! I know they were to me. =) Here is a card I made a while ago but never got around to posting.

The daisy peeking behind the fishtail banner is from Purple Onion Designs. I stamped it in white and then heat embossed it with white powder to get it to stand out. Added three tiny black self adhesive pearls for the center.

Little tag and sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. Colored the white satin ribbon with a Copic marker to match the designer paper. Which I'm not quite sure who it makes it. Added some black scrappers floss and twirled it around my pick to get it to curl.

Fishtail stitched banner die is from My Favorite Things.

That's all for today. I'm going to try to get back to organizing and cleaning up my craft room. But you know what will happen, I'll find something I forgot I had and then stop to make something. It'll be a slow process.

Happy New Year

Hello everyone! I hope that all your Christmas wishes for crafy things came through! Here is my take a few challenges today.

Picture is not one of my best as it's early morning and kind of dreary out and PSE couldn't lighten it up any more than this. Kept this clean and simple and in real life it is very sparkly.

Happy is a die that is cut out of black cardstock that is backed with Stick it! adhesive.

The gold glitter band is done using two sided sticky back tape and glitter.

New year sentiment is from WPlus9 and the silver stickers are those peel off stickers that were all the rage a couple of years ago. I have tons of them in my stash.

Well, that is all for today. This will be entered into the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - Make it sparkle
The Friday Mashup - ring in the new year
Sunday Stamps - sketch

I hope each and everyone one of you have a very Merry Christmas. Thanks for stopping in and know that I truly appreciate all of you who take the time to comment, it means a lot!

Winter wonderland

Hi everyone. The challenge over at Simon Says Stamp for the Monday challenge is a Winter Wonderland theme and this is what I came up with.

I stamped the snow in the back ground using white ink and the snow back ground stamp from My Favorite Things onto a gray card base.

Deer and tree dies are from Memory Box and the little red bird is from Impression Obsession.

I had to cut the bird out of red - this scene was just calling for a cardinal up in the branches.

I did spritz this with some frost shimmer spritz from Tsukineko. In real life this looks so wintery.

That's it for now. Thanks for stopping in.

Homespun heart banner

Hello everyone! The challenge over at Less is More is Homespun and this is what I came up with.

The banner and heart are cut out of a piece of canvas sheet that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. It was in the scrapbook paper area and there was one 12 x 12 piece in the package. I picked a few of them up when they were half price and have horded them for a while.

I used the banner and heart die from the Simon Says Stamp die set called stitched shapes. Here is the link. To color the heart I used the watermelon alcohol ink and then heat set it.

Used one of the rectangle stitched dies from Lil' Inkers to emboss on the kraft cardstock. The reason I used Kraft on this is so that my banner didn't fade into the background. When I used a white card base it all but disappeared. I have also thought that kraft, cream and red make a wonder color combo anyway.

Sentiment is from PTI. I added a piece of red bakers twine to the top so that it appears that it is a banner and then added a string bow to the heart. Kept this pretty clean and simple as it will most likely go to my DH for Valentines day.  Thanks for stopping by.

CAS Birthday

Hello everyone. Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch. I kept this one very clean and simple.

I think I did the sentiment banner on this three times because I kept smearing the ink. The flower is stamped on the Xpress it paper, which is smoother for Copic's, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Ended up having to do that with the sentiment in order for me to finish off this card.

Flower stamp is from Hero Arts and the sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. White cardbase and red pure poppy cardstock is from PTI.

Stitched dies are from My Favorite Things.

That's all for today. Thanks for popping in.

Holiday tag

Hi everyone! Real quick post to show off a Holiday tag I made.

Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Dies used are:
Impression Obsession - pine bough
Memory Box - berry branch with red perfect pearls on the end
Pine cones - flower die from My Favorite Things

Small jingle bells glued into the mix and I tied on a bow of jute made using the Bow Easy.  Red stretchy cord used for the top tie.

Off to see if I can create something non-holiday for a sketch challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Shaker card

Hi everyone! I made my first successful shaker card! In the past, I've never been able to get them to work out right. Foam tape messes that just end up leaking out the innerds. Well, that has changed since I've discovered the fuse tool, but it's not really the fuse tool. What you ask?

I've had the heat tool with the knife blade for a long time that had I bought to cut out stamps with. It never really worked worth a darn.  The knife portion screws onto the end of the tool and so I just purchased the 4 fuse decorator tips that screw on and now I'm in business. So, for $9.99, it was so worth it!

For this card, I used a circle nestie as a guide to use with a crystal clear bag to make the pouch for the skaker. Stamped on the front of it using white ink and heat embossed with white ep. I used a bit of white glitter, epsome salts and clear glass beads inside the pouch and then sealed it shut. Then taped it onto the back of the card panel.

That gorgeous snowflake die is from Gina Marie Designs. Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. Snowflake stamps are from PTI and Stamps by Judith.

ETA: Adding this into the Happy Little Stampers December sketch challenge.

That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by!

Chickadee

Hello! Yes, two posts in one day, but I had to get my entry in for this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

I did turn the sketch on it's side and I also decided to something besides a Holiday card today. I don't know about you, but I'm about burned out them.

Stamp is from Great Impressions called Chickadee. I stamped it in Versafine, heat set with clear embossing powder then colored the little that there is with Copic's.

Designer paper is from one of those insta photo fun packs from DCWV.

I used the scalloped die and hole punch die from Blueprints #14 from MFT to add that element based on the sketch. I ended up cutting a bit off each side of the scalloped border piece to fit in. Green self adhesive pearls are from Queen & Co.

ETA: adding this into the Great Impressions blog challenge of anything goes.

Thanks for stopping in!

Christmas Cheer

Hi everyone. I decided to participate in the winter/holiday coffee lovers bloghop and here is my entry.

I used the LLD coffee dies from My Favorite Things to cut out the coffee cup. It is then popped up onto a kraft tag that has been splattered with white to look like snow. The tag die is from MFT.

Sentiment is from Technique Tuesday and stamped onto the a fishtail banner. It's really hard to see, but I stamped some mint tiny snowflakes on either side of the sentiment.

Designer paper is from Fancy Pants. I colored the top white satin ribbon with a Copic marker to match the DP, it's close but not perfect. I tied it on and added a button snowflake that I've had in my stash for a bit. It's really cute in real life.

Adding this to Simon Says Stamps Wednesday challenge of Tag it, as well.

ETA: entering this into the anything goes challenge over at Word Art Wednesday anythings goes challenge.
Also entering into the Sunday Stamps color challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Joy

Hello all. In cleaning out my stamps I came across this little gem that I didn't know I had. Coincidentally, it works wonderful for the Addicted to CAS challenge of Joy this week.

I used Rustic white cardstock from PTI as the base of the card and the top layer.

The stamp is from Victorine Originals. I stamped it in Versamark ink and then heat set it with gold embossing powder. I also applied the gold embossing powder around the outside of the card base. I never have any luck using a ruler and the versamark pen to get an even border. What I did this time around is the direct to paper method with the pad and then added the powder. It's bigger than I need and wasted powder, but it at least I didn't get frustrated!

This stamp would be a good one to use to do some mass Christmas cards in a hurry. You can find the link to the stamp here.
