Hi everyone! I really liked the possibilities in the Sweet Sunday Sketch this time around. Here is what I did with it!
This sketch just said shaker card to me. I got out several sizes of circle nestabilities and cut out the base, the acetate and the outline.
Using one of the snowflakes from the Snowflake Medley from PTI, I stamped it in light blue and then used some peacock embossing powder from Judikins to give them some sparkle. Which of course you can't see in the picture. The snow in between the acetate and the white base is Epsom salt.
Sentiment and the tiny snowflake are from the former There She Goes snowman sentiment mini set.
Navy cardstock is from Bazzill and the designer paper is from K&Company.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Live well
Hi everyone! Here is my take on Less is More's recipe challenge of mostly words.
I came across this old set from Printworks that I've had forever in my stamps while looking for something else. I pulled it out intending to give it some love (out of sight, out of mind) again. I thought it would work beautifully for the mostly words challenge.
The heart is included in the set and I stamped it in wild cherry colorbox ink. The dots on top of the hearts are part of the stamp and were red, but decided to cover them with a black pearl to go with the dots in the sentiment.
Since there is a lot of white space on this, I decided to add a red outside layer so that it stood out a bit more. Pure poppy cardstock is from PTI.
That's it for today!

Sunflower thank you
Hi everyone! Here is my take on several challenges today. I started off with this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #155 and then added from there!
Sunflower stamp is a very old one from the former Angel Co.
It's stamped in Versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, then colored with Copic's. The tag die is from PTI as is the thank you sentiment.
Butterfly die is from Memory Box and popped up on the card using a very tiny bit of foam tape. Designer paper is from Provo Craft.
Challenges:
Freshly Made Sketch #155
CASology - flutter
Fusion Card Challenge - Sunflowers
Simon Say Stamps - Anything goes
Tag you're it!

PTI September blog hop - Happy Birthday
Hi everyone - it's been ages since I participated in the monthly Papertrey, Ink blog hops. I really liked the inspiration photo this time around and even managed to use one of the provided sketches.
All cardstock and stamps are from PTI.
Ended up going with the most dominate colors in the photo as my combo. I used markers to color the tops of the flower found in the set "Life" to stamp beneath the Happy Birthday sentiment. Then continued them on the enchanted evening cardstock below using Versamark ink.
I colored white satin ribbon with a N2 Copic marker to pick up the grey in the picture. Then added some tiny silver pearls on both ends to add a bit of interest.
Scalloped die is from Lifestyle crafts and the stitched rectangle is from Lil' Inker Designs.
That's it for today! Thanks for dropping by!

Mojo #364 - Happy Halloween
Hey everyone! I had this bat already colored up and it looked like it might work with today's Mojo Monday sketch!
It's a tight fit, but I made it work!
Bat is a stamp from Paper Smooches that is colored with Copic's. The sentiment is from Alota stamps that I manipulated into two to fit this sketch. Thank goodness for washi tape. It covered the words while inking each word to stamp separately.
Candy designer paper is from DCWV from a few years ago. It was in my Halloween paper stash and worked great for this sketch.
Lastly, I added some googly eyes to the corners just for fun!

Sunshine
Hi everyone! It's been a busy week and we're heading out for one last camping trip this weekend. So, thought I better get busy and post a card for you to see.
This is kind of a weird layout but it ended up working
with the sentiment that I really wanted to use.
Poppy's are from Papertrey, Ink. I added some highlights with a Copic marker so that they stood out a bit. Using my perfect layers 1/16 edge I added a black and tangerine layer.
I used the mat stack #3 die from PTI to cut the white and the black layer for the sentiment. Stamped the sentiment (which is also from PTI) and then added the black and white gingham ribbon.
Its kind of hard to tell in the picture, but I added a white layer onto the card base and popped it up using foam tape before adding the other elements.
That's it for now! Thanks for stopping by!

why limit happy to an hour?
Hi everyone! It's one layer card time over at Less is More and they want us to use the theme of Beverages in our card. I have to admit, this one was a struggle for me!
I tried several different coffee mugs and what not, but my mojo was seriously lacking yesterday. As a matter of fact, I ended up inking up my right ta ta with a black ink pad after fumbling with it. Couldn't believe that I actually got the black ink to come off of the shirt! Dawn dish washing detergent is amazing!
OK - I digress. These cocktails are stamps from the no longer in business There She Goes. Colored them in fruity flavors using Copic's.
Stitched border is embossed using the largest die from Lil' Inkers.

Just because
Hello everyone! I'm so happy to be home from my business trip to San Diego! It was beautiful but didn't see a lot since I was in meetings for 9 hours a day! Glad to be able to get back into the craft room and get inky today!
This card is for three challenges. The sketch is from FMS#153, the leaves are for The Friday Mashup #177 (sketch is pretty close too) and lastly CAS-ology cue card is three.
Leaves are die cut and stamped using Papertrey, Ink leaf prints dies and stamps. Sentiment is also from PTI using the simple sentiments set.
Inks are from Colorbox petal chalk inks in earths and regal from SU.
Burlap paper is from DCWV and cut using the scalloped die from spellbinders nesties. I had to run it through the cuttlebug a few times to get it to cut completely.
I used the biggest rectangle stitched die from Lil' Inkers to and my tan embossing mat to do the stitching between the sentiment.
Well, that is it for today! Thanks for stopping by! I'm off to enjoy the 80+ degree weather we are having today!

Mixed media journal page
Hello! Playing around with some mixed media and created this journal page and thought I'd share it with you all while I'm stuck in meetings in San Diego.
As you can see there is a lot of texture going on in this! I started with a normal sized water color page and added some gesso to get things rolling.
Using stencils in the top right and lower left I got out the modeling paste. After it dried I used some spray inks to get the turquoise and brown look.
Used some die cuts along the way, some chip board, a stamp (bee) and added the imagine sticker. Lastly, I added some shine using gold mica powder on the texture that I wanted stand out.
I'm interested in mixed media to a point. The perfectionist in me thinks that it's missing something or just a plain old hot mess and I get a bit frustrated with it. I guess it's just time for me to relax and let the creativity flow! This page, I obviously liked or I wouldn't have shown it on my blog.
Thanks for dropping by and hope your being creative!

NBUS challenge #2b
Hello! Here is the other card I made for the never been used schtuff over at djkardkreations! This time I went with a very clean and simple design for Christmas.
Sorry about the darkness of the photo. I tried really hard to get the sparkle to stand out and played around with it forever and finally just went with the one you see here.
Both the sparkle paper and the die are never before used schtuff.
The sparkle paper is from DCWV called The Twinkle Glints pack. It's a 6x6 pad with yummy glitter paper.
The Joy die is from Savvy stamps. I centered the die onto a piece of white cardstock and saved the O. The white cardstock is 4 x 5.25 and then I just layered it onto the glitter cardstock and then attached it to a card base. This one could obviously be mass produced very quickly.
That's all for today! I'm trying to catch up on work emails from being gone all last week. I leave for San Diego tomorrow morning for meetings for the remainder of the week.

NBUS Challenge #2
Hi everyone! The beach was fantastic for the whole week. Only about 4 hours of rain one day and the rest is was blue sky, warm and sunny! I posted a few pictures over on Facebook if you want a look see.
Darnell is doing another NBUS challenge over on her blog at djkardkreations and here are the options this go around.
I returned from our trip to find some of the new Verve stamps and dies that I had ordered prior to leaving.
So my "never before used schtuff" is the stamps and dies from Verve on this card. I used two different stamp sets/dies to make this card. The bluebells are from the set called Framed Florals and the sentiment and frame are from the set called Small Packages.
Designer paper is from M's Reflection line. White stitched panel is cut from a Lil' Inker Designs die.
That it for this one. I'll post another later on that is in a different category.

Some People
Greetings everyone! How about a little chalkboard technique today? I've been sitting on this one for a while and finally got around to posting it.
I picked up some chalkboard ATC's at Hobby Lobby a while ago and finally used one. As a matter of fact, I think that is when I picked up this stamp as well. I used white craft ink from Colorbox to stamp it in.
I can't remember the last time I used this corner cutter before digging it out for this one. Just went together, you know?
Fishtail banners from MFT used to cut out the white banners. Ended up running two of them through an embossing folder to add a bit of texture. Red gingham designer paper was from A*Muse.
