Birthday cheer - SSC338

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  We have a new sketch and here is what I made using it. This is a fun one with so many possibilities.

I just got this new daisy set from Visible Image and put it to use on this sketch. I fussy cut the daisy out and popped it onto a piece of cardstock that matched the center of the flower. I did continue the splatters that are a part of the daisy stamp on the panel.  The Sentiment is from Poppy stamps.

Congratulations - TSOT#649

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try A Sketch On Tuesdays.

As you can see I turned the sketch on its side. The key dies are from Dress my kraft. I added a bit of refined copper lunar paste to them to make them look old and distressed.  The dictionary page is torn out of an old dictionary that I picked up at a second-hand store.  The key hole stamp is from Bo Bunny and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.

Clean and simple sympathy card

Hello. Playing in The Paper Players clean and simple challenge of sympathy or encouragement.

The silhouette sprig and sentiment stamp are from My Favorite Things.  I used the postage die from Penny Black to cut out a panel then used it as a stencil to create a tall and skinny area to stamp the sprig silhouette. Tumbled glass distress oxide ink used with a blending brush.

I did add some shine to the dots with a black gel pen, but you can't see it in the photo.

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care of yourself - TFC#92

Hello everyone. Here is your mid-month reminder about the current challenge going on over at The Flower Challenge blog.  It's a sketch challenge! See sketch below.

Here is another card that I created for the current challenge.

The flower stamp, die and sentiment are from Pink and Main. I water-colored it using Mei Liang watercolors. The dragonfly die is from Stampin Up, however, I made it using shrink plastic and my little pancake maker. I highly recommend that little gadget for doing anything shrink plastic - so much easier than using your heat tool and you don't waste product because it didn't flatten out correctly.

with sympathy

Hi everyone. I decided to try my hand at the Retro Rubber sketch challenge before the time ran out.

The main panels are stamped using an old wood mounted stamp from Memory Box called spring branch. It must be at least 10+ years old. To color it, I used Tombow markers and huffed on it to get a good impression before cutting it down into squares.

Sentiment is a new one from My Favorite Things. Since this is a sympathy card, I kept it clean and simple.

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy your special day - TSOT#648

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try A Sketch On Tuesdays.

The clouds are cut from a piece of designer paper from Craft Consortium. I've had the cloud and sun dies for so long that I have no idea who makes them, but do believe they are from MFT.  I'm awful at keeping track of who makes what die.  The sentiment is from MFT.

Here is the sketch for you to use as inspiration.

Merry Christmas

Hello. I've got a last-minute entry into this week's Freshly Made Sketch challenge for you today.

I decided to go with a Christmas card theme for this sketch. The sentiment is from Impress cards and crafts. The designer paper and the snowflake dies are from Echo Park.  The sparkly silver cardstock is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology kraft line. It cut through those delicate snowflake dies with my Empress very well.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks - SSC336

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  Here is what I made using the sketch.

I used the new Tim Holtz stencil and sky, dusk, and night pawsitively saturated inks from Simon Says Stamp to make the main focus. Topped it off with a die cut thanks. The right-hand side is cloud dsp from Craft Consortium Bloom and wild paperpack.  Navy satin ribbon used per the sketch, but a little lower on the card panel.

I heard you were dragon

Hello. Playing in The Paper PlayersThe Paper Players lots of laughs clean and simple challenge today.

The stamp and sentiment are from My Favorite Things. I colored him up using Copic markers. I found the sparkly rhinestones in my stash that matched the color markers I used, so add three for a little interest.

Hello - TFC #91

Hello everyone. Here is your mid-month reminder about the current challenge going on over at The Flower Challenge blog.

Here is another card that I created for the current challenge.

This Altenew flower stamp is colored with Olo markers and fussy cut-out. The little hello stamp is also from Altenew. I matched the satin ribbon colors with the flowers by coloring with the same Olo markers onto white ribbon.  The square dot die is embossed into the base panel instead of cutting it out.

Happy Anniversary

Hello. Playing in the Simon Says Stamp Romance/Wedding/Anniversary challenge today.  I made this clean and simple anniversary card using Sizzix dies from Tim Holtz.

I found a man and a woman among the layers from Idea-ology and popped them behind the yellow vellum to create that old-time look. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. I also stacked up the main layer using foam tape for added dimension.
