Awesome

Hello everyone. Today is my last guest designer post for Freshly Made Sketches for the month of June. As most of you know, FMS is one of the challenge blogs that I participate in pretty consistently, so it was an honor to be asked to be guest designer. Thanks to all the lovely ladies on the DT for having me!

Stamps and die are from Neat and Tangled. I used the shadow die as a mask in order to add some color to the back ground using distress oxide ink. Added some splatters, then add the word die and stamped the rest of the sentiment. Finished this off with some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and then found some glitter cardstock that went with the ink colors to add to the bottom. I did pop up that panel with some fun foam behind it for some added dimension. In real life this is pretty sparkly.

OK, that's it for today. Thanks for dropping by.

Just saying

Hello. Playing in The Paper Players sketch challenge today. This also uses "bits and pieces" from my bits box that works for the challenge over at Less is More.

I literally had the frog, the leaf background panel and the leaves cut out in my recycled MFT box that sits on the right side of my stamping desk. I used the sketch to put it all together.

The green leafy background started out with just distress oxide inks, then I stamped the leaf BG stamp onto it with versamark and heat embossed with clear powder. Well.....that covered the whole card, not just the leaves. It was kind of cool to look at an angle, but it really didn't show up. So, I stuck it in my stamp platform and stamped it again with dark green ink and embossed it again. Liked it and it went into my bits box, and now to use on this card. Frog is from Your Next Stamp, colored with Copic's and cut out with my Brother Scan N Cut and then popped up using foam tape. Sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

Pick of the week - butterflies

Hello. It's my turn over at The House That Stamps Built to do what we call "Pick of the Week" and I'm doing some layering with lots and lots of butterflies.

I layered the butterflies on top of each other to create a 3D effect, almost like they're flying.  Stamped a bunch of these little guys, colored them, and fussy cut them out. Added strong liquid glue to the centers and built them up. Once dry, I fluffed the wings out.

These stamps will be on special over at Repeat Impression this week. So why don't you fly on over and pick them up?

ETA: adding this into the Butterfly challenge over at Double D.

You grow through

Hello. Here is this weeks Freshly Made Sketch and what I did with it.

Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. Flowers are stamped in Fresh pigment ink and Fabrika Decoru used for the center of the flowers. The pink mesh was done using the mesh die from Cherry Lynn. I stacked two on top of each other to get the dimensions I wanted. Dotted rectangle die is from MFT.

Thanks for stopping by.

Inspiration photo - just a note

Hello. It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following picture for inspiration.

I went with the colors in the photo. Did a bit of color smooching onto my craft mat with Distress Oxide Inks onto water color paper. Humming bird is colored with Copic's and cut out using my Brother Scan N Cut. Added the flowers on the side with Versafine ink and heat embossed them using clear powder. Same with the sentiment.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Sending smiles

Hello. Playing in the "birds" challenge over at The Paper Players today.

These cute birds are from Stamping Bella and colored with Copic's. Sentiment is from Hero Arts and that designer paper is from my stash.

As I was laying this out and after I got everything taped into place, I noticed I mixed up my dots and stitches dies. Pft….. Does it even matter?

Twofer Tree's

I Hello. Finally found some time to make something up for the Twofer Card Challenge of Tree's.

I most likely didn't follow the rules on this, but I decided to post it anyway.

The tree stamp is an old one from Memory Box. Stamped in versafine and heat embossed on both cards. I cannot remember where the Santa stamp came from. I think it might be a Victorine Original's but I'm not positive. Anywho, distress oxide inks were used heavily in both cards. To create the snow effect, I mixed some picket fence paint with water and put into a spray bottle, then misted it over the card. You have to seriously let it dry before finishing things off.

In the bottom card, the trees are highlighted with a stardust pen. IRL, they shimmer. Sentiment on the outside is from PTI and inside I stamped "relax."

Thanks for stopping in to take a look see. I appreciate all your comments.

Keep your head up

Hello - playing in the CAS colours and Sketches challenge today.

Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I cut out three strips of the flower border out of yellow cardstock and snipped off the end flowers. Then stacked & glued them together for more dimension. Added black pearls from Queen & Co. to the centers. Decided to add the tiny die cut heart for a pop of color.

I think this is such a fun and clean sketch with so many possibilities. Thanks for stopping by.

Thinking of you - FMS341

Hello - Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

I used the flower and leaves from the Simon Says Stamp set called More Spring Flowers. Stamped in versmark, heat embossed with white embossing powder then colored with Copic's. To cut them out I used my Brother Scan N Cut. Sentiment is from Wplus9.

Thanks for stopping by!

ETA: entering this into the 30 day coloring challenge, too.

Tic-Tac-Toe challenge - masculine birthday

Hello, It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following TTT grid.

I went down the middle of the grid.

I used a piece of thin metal from Ranger to emboss the gears. Then I applied alcohol inks and washed it out using blending solution. It took a lot of rubbing things around to get a good coat of color into the nooks and crannies. I used the vertical Happy Birthday #6104W stamp and layered the metal piece with black cardstock. Love this look for a guy card.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!

Wedding wishes

Hello. Playing in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of Anniversary or Wedding.

Die is from Stampin Up! I used Neenah solar white cardstock in 110 lb to cut the die out using my Gemini. Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. Kept this very clean and simple so the lacey die and the ribbon are the focal points.

Have a great day!

Purple striped designer paper is from My Favorite Things.

Summer Vacation

Hello.
It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week it's a designer choice challenge and Esther wants us to use the theme - Summer Vacation.

Left boot print is item #2720W and the right one is #2721W. Paw print is #2612D. I stamped them all using Acorn ink from the new Versafine clair line.

So, what are you waiting for?!
