Red Mitten

Hello! I hope this finds everyone being crafty! Here's another CAS card for you.

I used the large mitten die from A*Muse Studio to create this simple card. It's cut out of pure poppy cardstock from Papertrey, Ink so that the fold is at the top.

I added some faux stitching along the perimeter using a the white paint pen from Sharpie. Snowflake die is from Sizzix, cut out of white cardstock and popped up using foam tape. I added some red self adhesive pearls and a button to jazz it up a bit. Red gingham ribbon used as a tie on the button.

So country looking, don't you think?

Don't fear

Hello! I made this CAS card a while ago - like right after I got this fab set from A*Muse Studio but have been saving it to post closer to Christmas.

Pure poppy cardstock from Papertrey, Ink is used as the card base and the circle layer.

The Santa hat is colored with copic's, a white gel pen and then I added some liquid applique. Used the heat tool to puff it up and Ta Da!

Memento ink used on the sentiment and Santa's hat.

What do you think? This one could be mass produced pretty quickly too!

Thinking of you butterfly

Hello! Playing in two different challenges today. Viva La Verve sketch and Flutter by Wednesday.

Stamps are from the Verve set called Enjoy. I stamped out the butterfly, colored it with copic's and then cut it out and popped it up using a very thin piece of foam tape.

Designer paper is from Hot Off The Press, and the olive cardstock is from Gina K. Circle nesties were used to cut out the circles.

The ferns were cut out using Bazzill dark green cardstock and the dies are from Poppy Stamps. Black grosgrain ribbon used and the black pearls are from Queen&Co. Lastly, I need to mention even though you can't really see it, the white panel behind the ferns and butterfly is embossed using the leaf branch embossing folder from Sizzix.

Mittens

Hello! I got another chance to play around with the latest Viva La Verve Challenge and this is the card I came up with based upon the sketch.

Stamps are from Verve called Winter Mittens. I colored them with Copic's and then used Palette fresh snow ink to stamp the hearts in the center. The sentiment is stamped in A*Muse Studio Navy ink. Nesties used to cut the tag and the circles.

Designer paper is from K&Company and layered with blueberryb sky cardstock from PTI. A white satin ribbon is added and tied into a bow using the bow easy. I used the scrappers floss to tie on the tag and then twisted the excess around a paper piercer.

Thanks for stopping and and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Family and Friends.

Thanks so much

Hello! Here's another card completed using a Verve sketch off of SCS.

The branch stamp is from Memory box as is the designer paper. The sentiment is from Verve. I used Marvy LePlume markers to color the stamp and then spritzed it with water and stamped it onto white cardstock. I used a dauber and summer sky ink from Memento to highlight the branch. Circle nesties used to cut out the shapes.

Wide white satin ribbon used on the left side of the card. All cardstock used to layer is from Bazzill.

Thinking of you

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been missing in action the last couple of days. The day job has kept me extremely busy with no end until next Wednesday! Yuk! I'm so tired and my body is telling me that too!

Ok, enough complaining....Here's a card I recently made for Verve's challenge over at SCS.

Stamps are from Verve and done by coloring directing on the stamp using Tombow markers then misting with water and stamping onto a piece of cardstock. It took me a couple of tries to get this one exactly how I wanted it. Added some yellow liquid pearls onto the flower centers.

Pink designer paper is from Lasting Impressions and the other dp is from my stash which I believe comes from My Minds Eye, but not certain. Kraft cardstock is cut with the Plaque Alterations die.

I did cut the doily in half and then overlap it to get it to fit within the body of the card. Lastly, used the boweasy to tie the bow from the white satin ribbon.

Thanks for dropping by!

Congratulations

Hello everyone! Here's a CAS card that came together pretty quickly.

Kraft, black and pure poppy cardstock is from Papertrey, Ink as is the ribbon and the sentiment.

The pennants or banner's are a die from PTI called boxy banners. I cut three of the banners out of this burlap like material that is really a wired ribbon. I got it at Target several years ago during the Holiday season and tend to use the material in the middle of the wired sides for all sorts of things.

The gingham paper is from my stash and I believe it came from My Minds Eye. I unraveled some of the strands from the burlap and tied them onto the black buttons (American Crafts) and then glued them on.

Ornaments

Hello! I got a chance to play around with this weeks sketch challenge. Here's what it looks like.

I changed the direction on the sketch and my card ended up looking like this:

Stamps are from Papertrey, Ink and colored with Copic's. I also added some highlighting on the ornaments using a stardust pen. Berries are accented with stickles. Dusted off my oval nesties to cut out the main image and its layer.

Designer paper is from Kaisercraft.

Have a great weekend!

Mojo Monday #214

Hi there! There is something about this Mojo Monday sketch that really caught my attention - don't know what, but here's how it came out for me.

The leaf is die cut from chipboard using the tattered leaves Alterations die. I used the new winter distress ink in Festive Berries to color it. To add the splashes of black, I dipped a tooth brush into black acrylic paint and used my finger to flick it about.

Sentiment and tag die are from Verve. Designer papers are from Papertrey, Ink. I did pop up the leaf and the sentiment tag with foam tape. Button is from OTC and tied with twine.

What do you think? Thanks for stopping in.

The sky is the limit

Hey there! Playing around over the weekend and came up with this one. Lots of heat embossing and sponging going on...But overall a clean and simple card.

Stamps are from Papertrey, Ink. I stamped the clouds in Palette fresh snow ink and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. I wasn't real satisfied how that came out, so I added some summer sky ink from memento and daubered and sponged it on to look like the sky.

Balloon is colored with Copic's and cut out using the die that goes along with this set. Blue cardstock is called Enchanted Evening and is also from PTI.

I really like this set as it has so many possibilities for encouragement! Thanks for stopping in.

Hello!

Hello! It's Monday and I'm going to be on a very long stretch work at my day job! Like 12 days straight without a day off! Ugh! Wish me luck, that I don't get sick or too cranky by the end of it!

This awesome stamp is from Gina K's "You go, Girl" set. She is colored with Copic's and cut out with a rectangle nestie. The sentiment is cut out using a circle punch and a label die from Quickutz.

The designer pink polka dot paper is from Making Memories that I got on clearance a few years ago because it was misprinted with black spotches all over it. I liked it, it looked distressed to me so I quickly put it into my basket and brought it home.

I used the edge die from Papertrey, ink to cut the bottom of the dp and the black cardstock. Then added the three black pearls from Queen and Co. White satin ribbon used and tied into a knot instead of a bow this time around.

Have a great day!

Saturday inspiration challenge

Hello! I decided to play along with the Inspiration challenge over at SCS today. Here is what inspired me: This link will take you to the site with massive amounts of Wallpaper.

Here is my take on it.

Stamps are from Papertrey, Ink. I used glossy cardstock to stamp and stamped the ginko leaves in Memento Cantaloupe ink. Sentiment is stamped with Archival jet black and cut out using the labels 4 die from spellbinders.

Cardstock is also from PTI in harvest gold and black. The black pearls are from Queen & Co. and the polka dot washi tape is from the smash book line.

What do you think? Hope you're having a great weekend!

QAS - little things

Hi there - been busy at the day job and forgot to schedule a post! Oops! Here's a QAS card = quick and simple.

This gorgeous twig and berry die is from Memory Box. I shaded the leaves using two different colors of green cardstock.

I cut out the label and used antique linen distress ink to sponge around the edges while the ivory cardstock was still in the die. Sentiment is from Hero arts and is stamped in French Roast pigment ink from A*Muse. After using some wacky tack from K&Company to attach the twig and berries to the label die cut, I popped it up on the same colored ivory cardstock. Tone on tone but with some definition.

Thanks for stopping in and I'd love to hear what you think of this one!
