It's a good day - TSOT#678

Hi, and welcome back to a new sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.

Ok - this one needs a bit of explaining.  The main panel of this card is made using a napkin and some plastic wrap.  You know the technique of ironing the napkins onto a piece of cardstock by melting plastic wrap between the two with an iron.  Yep, this is that technique.  I told you I'd made a few! ;-)

The label die is from Pretty Pink Posh, and the sentiment is from Sizzix stamps.  I have so many dragonfly dies in my stash that I cannot remember who makes them anymore.

Enjoy your day - TSOT#677

Hi, and welcome back to a new sketch challenge over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.

Ok - this one needs a bit of explaining.  The middle section of triangle is made using a napkin and some plastic wrap.  You know the technique of ironing the napkins onto a piece of cardstock by melting plastic wrap between the two with an iron.  Yep, this is that technique.  I made a few, so you might see more of them later.

The sentiment is from Poppy Stamps, and I used dark green cardstock that matched the color of the ferns.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello - TSOT#673

Hello! It's time for a new sketch over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.

I used the cone flower die from Simon Says Stamp as the focal point, along with the big hello die from SSS CZ Designs.

I cut the flowers out of basic white cardstock and then blended butter and mocha ink from SSS to color them accordingly.  The designer paper is from Lasting Impressions.

Thank you - TSOT#672

Hi everyone. We have a new sketch challenge up over at TSOT.  I decided to go with a masculine theme on this one.

The embossing folder is from Tim Holtz. I used metal tape from the hardware store to create the panel using the folder.  I did take a black distress crayon and add some grunge to it.  The designer papers are from MFT stamps.

Here is a close-up of the embossed and distressed panel.

I hope you join us! Below is the sketch

Thinking of you - TSOT#671

Hello! Here is another sketch challenge for you to play with from Try A Sketch on Tuesday.

I used an old background that I had in my stash.  It appears that I used distress ink in speckled egg and antique linen. The marbled stamp is from Kaisercraft, and it is stamped in Hickory Smoke archival ink. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

I used a deckled tearing ruler from KW-triO to tear the background as per the sketch below.

There are a lot of possibilities with this sketch. Link up here, and thanks for stopping in.

Hello. Welcome back to another sketch challenge over at Try A Sketch on Tuesday.

The birthday sentiment is from Poppy Stamps. The gear border die is from Memory Box, and I enhanced it using distress inks to resemble rusty and oxidized gears. The stripes on the left side are done using a pin-dot border die—you might need to enlarge the photo to see them.

Hello and welcome back to another sketch challenge over at Try A Sketch on Tuesday.

The rainbow, cloud and sun dies are from Reverse Confetti and colored using copics. I used several layers of grass and popped a few of them up with foam tape to give it a bit of dimension. Same with the smaller cloud.

Hello and welcome to another sketch challenge at Try a Sketch on Tuesdays.  Here is the card I made and the sketch for you to use.

The sun ray is blended using bright yellow ink from Pink Fresh studio.  All the dies are from different companies that worked well together to create this get-well card.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  I used Copic markers to highlight the clouds and popped them up using foam tape.

Hi There - TSOT661

Hi everyone. There is a new challenge up today over at Try A Sketch on Tuesday.

I used an old stamp from The Angel Company to stamp the sprigs using Eucalyptus ink from Concord & 9th.  I also did a lot of direct-to-paper inking for the left-hand strip and the layers, using the same ink color.  The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday and the embossing folder is from Stampin Up!  Below is the sketch.
