Witch way - SSC345

Hello. There is a new color inspiration photo prompt up over at Sunday Stamps. This is a fun Halloween-inspired board.  Here is what I did with it.

I blended the back ground using inks from Simon Says Stamp pawsitively saturated inks.  The witch and cat are from MFT stamps and I used my scan-n-cut to cut them out.  The moon with the bats has been in my stash forever, so I have no idea who makes it.  I hand drew the tiny spiders and the bats are done using black embossing paste from Tim Holtz through a stencil from Echo Park.

I can't wait to see what you come up with using the color inspiration board above.

Fall thank you

Hello. Playing in a few challenges today with this clean and simple card.

The leaf stamp is an oldie but goodie from Papertrey, Ink.  I used Simon Says Stamp saturated inks on them. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the dot stitched border die is from Jillian Vance Designs.

Just start - anyway you punch it TSOT655

Hello and welcome to another sketch challenge at Try a Sketch on Tuesdays.  We are partnering with our sister double trouble challenge on this one. Below are the specifics.

THING 1:
Trouble Maker
says, "National Punch Day, Friday, Sept 20th, is about three things. Can you guess which two we are celebrating? Here are your choices:
1. A crafty tool.
2. A sweet or spicy drink ladled from a punch bowl.
3. A punch that you dole out with your fists.

Hopefully, your selections agree with mine... here is our challenge:
1. Required:  Look through your stash and choose at least one punch and/or die to use in your project.
2. Optional:  Pour your favorite punch or beverage into a spill-proof container.  If you let us know in the comments what beverage you poured you will earn another chance in our random drawing.

3. Fist punching NOT ALLOWED.

Thing 2:  Double Dare
says, "If you have met Thing 1's requirement, using punch(es) and/or die(s) and have used the TSOT sketch, you are eligible to enter your project HERE at Try a Sketch On Tuesday Challenge #655  for another chance in our random drawing.

Special Notes:  Please note that Try a Sketch On Tuesday starts on Tuesday, September 16th. If you post your project at Double Trouble on Monday, the 15th, you are still eligible to enter your project at TSOT. You are permitted to backlink for that Monday only. So be sure to visit again on Tuesday, September 15th, and post your card to the TSOT Challenge using the link provided above.

THING 3:  Twisted Sister
says, "Hey! This sketch is from our sister challenge at Try a Sketch On Tuesday. We think it would be fun to use because it is perfect for punch cuts and/or die cuts.

"My optional twist is to use TSOT Sketch #655. If you have used this sketch in your project you have earned another chance in our random drawing.

"Feel free to change the orientation of the sketch... rotate the sketch or use its mirror image. Adding a sentiment is optional. You may vary the shapes as long as the basic sketch is recognizable in your project."

Miss you - TFC95

Hello everyone. Here is your mid-month reminder about the current challenge going on over at The Flower Challenge blog.  Here is another card that I created for the current challenge.

The flower stamp is from Penny Black. I used Tombow markers on the stamp, then spritzed it and stamped it onto watercolor cardstock.  The sentiment stamp is from My Favorite Things.  I also layered the panel with dark purple cardstock (which looks black in the photo) to match the flowers.

With Sympathy

Hello. I have been playing around with Ranger distress inks and making backgrounds in fall colors. One of them turned into this.

The maple leaf die is from Simon Says Stamp. I used scorched timber distress ink to ink up the edges before popping it up using foam tape.  The embossing folder is an older one from Sizzix and the sentiment and die are from My favorite things.  I did layer the embossed panel onto a very dark green piece of cardstock (which looks almost black in the photo).

Thinking of you - TSOT 654

Hello and welcome to another sketch challenge at Try a Sketch on Tuesdays.  Here is the card I made and the sketch for you to use.

The sentiment is from The Ton. I used a few dies from different companies to create the fall cluster. Impression Obsession, Lawn Fawn, Memory Box to name a few. The oval comes from Avery Elle's cover plate quilted die.

I used some distress inks to highlight the leaves and the scalloped border is cut from some burlap that I had in my stash.

Sketch
