RI Anything goes challenge - Cheers

Hi everyone! Time for another anything goes challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. Here is what I did with it.

Martini glass is stamped in versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then colored it with Copic markers.

The fishtail banner is from MFT and it's actually two banners. I stamped the sentiment on the one of the right and cut the stem of the martini glass with an craft knife and slid it in. The I cut another one and did the same on the left side.

The cool green dots are from Hero Arts. To finish off the card I decide to dust off a corner punch that I think all of us have sitting in a drawer. Then I popped up the panel onto an olive green card base.

Don't forget to visit the other DT members to see what they did with this challenge.

Dahlias

Hi everyone! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

Dahlia stamps are from Altenew and stamped with Fresh Ink from Impress Stamps. I did spend some time fussy cutting the two flowers and leaves out. The bigger of the two dahlias is popped up using foam squares to give this a bit of dimension.

Thank you sentiment is from My Favorite Things and the square die is from Impression Obsession. I found some pink vellum in my stash and taped it on the back of panel. I love the texture that it adds to the card.

I did spritz this whole card with some frost shimmer spritz but it was really really hard to get it to pick up in the photo. It's subtle but adds that little bit extra. Which is why I'll go ahead and add this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of adding some shimmer.

Sketch challenge over at Repeat Impressions

Hi all! It's sketch time over at The House that Stamps built/Repeat Impressions. Here is the sketch and what I did with it.

I stayed pretty true to the sketch except that my circle in back is the same size as the one in front.

The stamp is colored with Memento markers and spritzed with water. I did a section at a time and then cut it out using the circle nestie. This stamp is quartet series with the hearts and sentiment all together. It's #8500 in the unmounted sheets.

I added some red enameled dots (home made melted pony beads) and the green is from Nuvo Crystal drops.
Stitched circle and outline Dies used are from Lil' Inker's.

So, there you have it. Now it's your turn to play, you could win a gift certificate to Repeat Impressions, just link up your creations to the blog below.

Hats off to you

Hey there! I want to give a shout out to The Paper Players on their 300th challenge post and play along in the celebration challenge. Here is what I did with it.

Stamps and dies are from Avery Elle.

I stamped everything in Simon Says Stamp intense black ink so that I could color everything with Copic's.

Die cut them out and popped a few of them up with tiny foam squares to add a bit of dimension.

This is such a fun set to work with and has so many possibilities.

Thanks for stopping by and congratulations to the folks over at The Paper Players on their milestone!

Have a lovely day

Hi everyone. It's theme week over at Less is More and they want to see some faux bleaching. Here is what I did with it.

Flowers are done using a stencil, which is from Memory Box, Versamark and clear embossing powder.

I used Ranger distress ink in shaded lilac to sponge color onto the white cardstock.

Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and heat embossed using white embossing powder.

White rivets are from Queen & Company.

That's it for today. Thanks for popping by.

Pink bud sympathy card

Hello everyone! Playing around in the stamp room today and came up with this for this weeks freshly made sketch.

Bud is from Altenew and stamped in SSS intense black ink. Then I watercolored it using Peerless water colors.  The water  color paper is Arches hot pressed and I just love it. Smooth and so easy to work with.

Sympathy sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. The designer paper below the organza ribbon is from My Favorite Things.

Black and cream cardstock is from Papertrey, Ink.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Photo inspiration

Hi everyone! It's a photo inspiration challenge over at Repeat Impressions - The house that stamps built. Here is the photo and what I did with it.

I started out using some distress inks to create a piece of drift wood on a piece of white cardstock. Then I ran it through the wood grain embossing folder and added more distress inks to the edges. I used the comic strip die from Papertrey, Ink to cut it apart and keep every thing uniform.

Pelican stamp is from Repeat Impressions and colored with Copic's.

Added a few pieces of mesh to resemble fishing nets and knot of rope up top to go with the theme of my card. Sentiment is also from RI.

Now go check out the rest of our Rock Star's cards that they did for this challenge.
