Happy Anniversary

Hello. Playing in the TGIF sketch challenge today.

The gorgeous script designer paper is from Unity stamps. The anniversary sentiment is from Avery Elle. I think the embossing folder is from Simon Says Stamp (I wish they would put their names on the folders) and the sprig die is from Memory Box.

The photo makes the main panel look lighter than the card base, but it's the same cardstock. How strange. I also added some fabrika decoru drops to the ends of the sprigs to match (they are like Nuvo drops).

Thanks for stopping by.

Blue hydrangea

Hello and Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge, where you can use the sketch or the photo or both. Here is what I did with it.

I went with the sketch and the blue hydrangeas in the photo. Stamp is from Ellen Hutson and is watercolored.  Used the same blue to do a quick wash in the background. The sentiment is from Honey Bee. Pearls are from Trinity stamps.

Please check out the Design Team’s creations for this challenge, once again, they have knocked it out of the park.

Feel better

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another sketch from Try Stamping on Tuesday.

I used the eucalyptus die's from Simon Says Stamp to cut out a piece of fun foam - which in turn became my home made stamp for this card.  Stayed with the green color theme using dark green cardstock for the base and the rectangle panel in the back. The polka dot paper has been in my stash for a long time and I believe it might be from Memory Box.  Used a stylus and Farika Decoru drops to create the dots that are scattered about.

I like how this came out, it could be used for either sex, which is always a good thing to have at the ready.   Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is use a sentiment as a highlight.

Did a watercolor wash over the flower vine stamp that I had heat embossed in white. Added that onto a stitched layer, which is the popped up using fun foam to give it a bit of dimension. Flower centers are done using a stylus and Fabrika Decoru.

Hydrangea's

Hello - What is this, my third post today? Wow, the mojo was flowing today. LOL =) I'm now playing in the Twofer challenge with the code word of Flowers.

Mondo Hydrangea is from Ellen Hutson. I stamped it in versamark ink and heat embossed it using detail white embossing powder from Ranger. Then I spritzed them both heavily with water and dipped a paint brush into blue watercolor and let it run. Layered both of these onto navy blue cardstock.

Once dried, I added the sentiments and the flower centers using fabrika decoru drops.  Sympathy sentiment is from Honey Bee and the birthday one is from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks

Hello. Playing in the Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge of no stamps allowed.

The leaf die is from Memory Box. I did a letter press technique with it. I die cut out the leaf, inked it up and then embossed it onto the paper. Thanks die is from Technique Tuesday. It came in one of the Greenhouse society die sets. I added some green dots using Fabrika Decoru. The dot embossing around the edges is a die from Gina Marie Designs.

I like how clean and simple this turned out.

Gatefold card - feel better soon

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the ever popular anything goes.

OMG - I did a fun fold card! Hydrangea is a part of the beautiful days stamp category over at Repeat Impressions. Link below. I stamped it in versafine, heat embossed then colored with Copic's. Added some yellow farika decoru yellow to the centers of the Hydrangeas. Some of them flattened out too much in the drying. Bummer!

Designers Choice Challenge - raining cats and dogs

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our designer choice challenge and Esther has chosen - raining cats and dogs.

I used a stencil to create the rain. I stamped the flower cluster (10205-E, Flower Cluster Outline) onto the umbrella and added some fabrica Decoru to the centers. Cloud dies are from PTI and I cannot remember where I got the umbrella, but it might be PTI as well. Used the get well soon sentiment from RI, but went horizontal with it to fit the card.

Just Because

Hello. Playing in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #414. Decided not to make a Holiday card. I mailed out all of mine yesterday, so I'm pretty much done with that. =)

Flower background stamp is from Impression Obsession. I stamped it in versamark onto a piece of watercolor paper, then heat embossed with Ranger White detail embossing powder. I used worn lipstick and scattered straw to create the colored background. I smooched both of them onto my glass mat, spritzed with water and dropped the stamped panel into it.

Added the Fabrika Decoru drops in jasmine to the flower centers. Just because vertical sentiment is from Savvy Stamps. Black strip was glued onto the left side - and this is a top folding card.

Inspiration photo challenge

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

Stamped the butterfly and heat embossed in clear embossing powder so that I could color with Copic's. Added a frame and stuck a bunch of die cut flowers on it to go with the inspiration photo.

Designers Choic Challenge - things beginning with a B

Hello! Today is our Designers Choice Challenge over at The House That Stamps Built, and Heather's choice is: Things beginning with a B.

I chose to stencil some Balloons. Then I had to embellish them so that they were a bit different than normal. Distress oxide inks used. I used a Copic multi liner to draw the strings using a ruler. This gave it a dotted line look and I went with it because it was different.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment horizontally to fit with the card.

Thank you CTS#334

Hi there. Playing in the CAS(e) this sketch challenge #334 today.

The Thank you die is from Savvy stamps that I picked up at my local stamp store, which just happens to be Impress cards and crafts.  Flower stamps are from Stamplorations Dee's artsy impressions. Again, one of my all time favorite small flower sets. Fabrika Decoru used for the centers of the flowers. Fresh pigment ink from Impress used to stamp flowers and leaves. Pink polka dot paper is from PTI.

Have a wonderful day!

Thank you

Hello. Playing in the Less is More challenge today of using small images.

This also turned into a one layer card. Flower stamps are from Stamplorations, Dee's artsy impressions. I use this set a lot, love it! I stamped the flowers in white pigment ink and then decided to heat emboss them so that they would stand out more. I used Fabrika decoru for the flower centers. Kraft cardstock is from PTI.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just a note to say...

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

To create this water color palette that matched the picture above, I got out my Arteza watercolor brush markers. I did  stamp the flowers in Versamark and heat embossed them using white embossing powder. Then heavily spritzed the watercolor paper and dabbed on the watercolor markers here and there. Used my heat tool to dry in between adding colors. After I decided the watercolors were done, I went back and painted in the flowers with a white paint pen and then added yellow centers using Fabrika Decoru.

Thinking of you

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week is "Anything Goes."

I really got stuck and was missing my mojo for a bit and struggled trying to find something to do for this challenge. The mail came and as I was looking through one of the magazines a sheet set caught my eye. It was floral and so very pretty - so I used that as a jumping off point on this one.

Flower power background stamps used randomly to create the background. I cut several "thinking" dies out and stacked them up for dimension. Stamped out the "of you" to go with. Once I had everything placed and glued down, I went back in with Fabrika Decoru and filled in the flower centers.

Stamps:
10207-E, Flower Cluster Solid
10204-D, Leaf Cluster Solid

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in any of our challenges, the more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

You grow through

Hello. Here is this weeks Freshly Made Sketch and what I did with it.

Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. Flowers are stamped in Fresh pigment ink and Fabrika Decoru used for the center of the flowers. The pink mesh was done using the mesh die from Cherry Lynn. I stacked two on top of each other to get the dimensions I wanted. Dotted rectangle die is from MFT.

Thanks for stopping by.

POTW - watercoloring with markers

Hello. It's my turn to host this weeks pick of the week, and I want to focus on watercoloring with markers.

I used watercolor paper,  Memento markers, a water brush and water to color the flowers and create the blue background.

Once dry, I cut it down, added centers to the flowers using Fabirka Decoru enamel and the added it to a embossed panel. Sentiment is stamped on watercolor paper to match.

Stamps used:
10313-H, Daisy Outline Large
10302-E, Daisy Outline Small
4005-G, Miracles happen . . .

I recommend trying any water based marker with your water brushed to create with. You never know what you'll end up with and it's fun to see what comes out of it.
