Mixing it up

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today with a mixed media thanks card.

I cut and inked up some worn and weathered designer paper from creative expressions to go with the sketch. I added a bit of script stamping to the grey panel and decided it needed some heat embossing to stand out a bit more. The "thanks" die is from Spellbinders.

Rub on stitching from 49 and market is used along the left panel and lastly, added a medallion cut out for further interest (TH stamp). Added some black ink splatters, just because I could.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping in.

Just because - SSC329

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  Here is what I made using the inspiration color prompt photo.  This one was a challenge for me as I don't have any of the plum colors in ink or cardstock/paper in my stash.

So, I made my own plum color using watercolors and decided to make this card a mixed-media one.

There are a lot of different stamps used on this one. However, the main die is from Memory Box. I also did a bit of stenciling using a stencil from TCW and Gina K Designs texture paste.

Stamps: Stampin Up! - gorgeous grunge, Darkroom door - Script and Crafters Companion sentiment. Inks: SSS orchid and Ranger distress archival in hickory smoke.  Altenew jet black liquid ink for the splatters.

Season's Greetings

Hello. Playing in the winter wonderland theme challenge over at The Paper Players.

I started with the tri-square wafer die from Simon Says Stamp and used it as a stencil with speckled egg and evergreen bough oxide inks. The little trees are then stamped in evergreen ink from Altenew. I have no idea who the maker is for those little trees, they've been in my stash since I started stamping.

I used a white gel pen to add snow and stamped the sentiment in gold ink from Altenew using the misti so I could get good coverage. I really like how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Many thanks

Hi there - Playing in the TGIF sketch challenge today. Here is what I came up with.

Leaf stamps are from Close To My Heart called Autumn Splendor - I'm sure they're retired by now, I've had them forever. I used Hero Arts and Altenew mini inks to mix the colors on the stamps (rock and roll technique) before stamping. Sentiment is from Altenew.

When cleaning out my dies, I came across a purple cover plate that had these gorgeous leaves on it. That is the debossing you see on the white background panel. I also found a mini thumb punch of a maple leaf and used it on different colored cardstock scraps.

Fun sketch! Thanks for stopping by!

Celebrate the season

Hello everyone. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

Card is 4.5 x 4.5 square. Poinsettia layering stamp is from Hero Arts. The sentiment is also from a past Hero Arts Holiday set. I used Altenew inks to stamp with. The squares are popped up using foam tape to create some dimension.

Resisted the urge to add any bling or additional embellishments on this and kept it clean and simple.

Also adding this into the Simon Says Stamp "anything goes" challenge.

Thanks for always being there

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch today.

I used quite a few different stamps on this one. Started with the wood plank stamps from WPlus9. I stamped them in provincial gray from Fresh Ink. Concord & 9th beautiful branches used on the center panel. Thanks die and sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp.

I used a medium gray for the base of the card and to cut out the "thanks." I used fun foam to pop up the wood plank panel and I also used a strip of it on the small sentiment panel.

Also adding this into the SSS Wednesday challenge.

Thanks for stopping in, have a great day!

Get well soon

Hello. Playing in The Flower Challenge today. It's a color challenge of pink and gray and here is what I came up with.

Stamps and dies are from Avery Elle except for the striped design in the back ground. That is a back ground stamp from Sunny Studio and it's stamped in Versafine Clair morning mist ink. I also used the same ink to stamp the fern's that are sticking out behind the flowers and leaves. The dots are done using a .005 Zig Millennium marker. Added a touch of sparkle to the center of the flowers with a stardust gel pen. Gray cardstock is from MFT.
