Happy Birthday - SSC360

Welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps. This time around we have a color inspiration board for you.

The sailboat dies are from the former Paper Smooches.  I also used an old Provo Craft embossing folder to create the waves and ink blended over it.  The tiny birthday sentiment is from The Paper Studio.

This is a fun color combo to work with. I can't wait to see what folks come up with. Link up here

Season's Greetings

Hi there. Playing in the Sunday Stamps weekly challenge today. It's a sketch that has a lot of possibilities.

The poinsettia dies are from Simon Says Stamp. I cut them out using Neenah classic crest cardstock and added some picked raspberry distress ink in the centers using a blending brush.

The plaid stencil is from The paper studio (Hobby Lobby) and made using the same distress ink. The pine dies are from Carta Bella and lastly, the sentiment (Hero Arts) is heat embossed using Ranger liquid platinum embossing powder.

Stitched die is from My Favorite Things. I did spritz this with shimmer spray which doesn't show up in the photo, but in real life, this sparkles.

Thanks for stopping in.

Just a note

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is anything BUT a card. I made a note card holder using a die from the paper studio.

I used two flat letter beads (for a friendship bracelet) and glued them onto the backs of the flowers in order to tie on the scrappers floss. This made it easy to tie this shut. I colored the floss with copic's to match the flowers.

This little pouch could be used for a gift card, money, etc.  Super fun challenge - can't wait to see what ya'll come up with. Please join us.

There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar.

Hi there

Hello everyone! Now that we've been rescued from the massive heat wave in the pacific northwest, life can get back to normal for a while! whew! 110 Degrees is way too hot!

Here's a card I did for this weeks Try Stamping on Tuesday - I really liked the sketch and paired it with some of the yummy eucalyptus paper from HL. Sentiment is from Technique Tuesday and I embossed the leaves on the right cardstock using a die from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks

Hi there from the snowy pacific northwest. Since it's a snow day (sort of) I decided to play with the Tuesday Morning Sketch #592.

Eucalyptus stamps and dies are from The Ton.  The thanks sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I used Rubbernecker fuse inks set #9 to stamp everything in.

Washi tape is from Hobby Lobby (the paper studio) in "that" eucalyptus design.  Candy dots are from Doodlebug Designs and I colored a length of seam binding with the BG11 copic marker to match.

Totally fun sketch to use up some washi tape or scrap papers with. Check it out!

Holiday cards with "that" paper

Hello everyone. I caved and purchased "that" paper at Hobby Lobby and this is what I did with it.

Holiday greeting stamps are from Papertrey, Ink. I think the tag die is too.  Used Neenah solar white to cut out poinsettias and used the tag as a way to anchor the cluster onto the card. I did find some cardstock that matched the colors in the eucalyptus paper, and used those for the leaves and what not. B01 Copic marker in moon white used on the ribbon and matches pretty well too.

Leaf dies are from Simon Says Stamp and Carta Bella.

Thanks for stopping in.

More coffee related cards coming soon.....

Project of the week - creating backgrounds

Hello. It's my turn to create a project of the week. I created my own pearlized background using the following stamp and supplies.

I used the snowflake positive stamp and stamped it randomly in versamark onto a piece of navy cardstock. To fill in the gaps, I used the versamark pen to add dots. The embossing powder I used was a blue pearl from Hero Arts. I really like how well it turned out on the navy. So pretty.

The sentiment is stamped onto a piece of white cardstock, then cut out with a long rectangle die. Then I used the snowflake punch and punched it in several areas. I used a piece of silver glitter cardstock to punch out three more snowflakes. That way I could layer them back in and add one more to balance it out. All are popped up using foam tape.

and here is the final design. So much fun and so pretty in real life.

Stamps used:
6004-M, Snow Positive
6116-M, Master Builder
