Washi tag birthday

Hi there.  Playing in the sketch challenge over at CAS colours and sketches and paired it with the washi tape challenge over at Less is More.

I taped several colors of washi tape onto a piece of cardstock and then die cut it using the round tag from Papertrey, Ink.

I cut the banner and then stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things and heat embossed it so it wouldn't rub off.  I popped it up using tiny foam tape squares and those stripes really do match up in real life.

Tied on some heavy duty string and tied it into a bow. Rounded off the corners on the white card base and panel just to be different.

Pink Peony

Hi there. Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

I have to say that this sketch gave me fits today.

Peony stamp is from The stampin place. I stamped it in Versafine ink, hat embossed with clear embossing powder then colored with Copic's.

Green cardstock is from MFT and the pink and black is from PTI.

I used Fabrika Decoru in dark night to create the tiny enamel dots. You can find all the different colors of these at Kat Scrappiness - link to the right!

Hi there. Here is my take on a few challenges today.  I started off with the sketch over at Sunday Stamps.

Daffodils are water colored using Kuretake water colors and cut out using my Brother Scan N Cut.

Photo Inspiration

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following picture as inspiration.

I found that cool designer paper in my stash of paper scraps, so I have no idea who makes it. Cat is stamped in Versafine, heat embossed and colored with Copic's. Grey cardstock is from MFT and I used some vintage buttons on the side to balance out the card.

Hi everyone. I got a chance to play around yesterday with the trend week challenge over at Just Us Girls. The challenge is to use a stencil. Here is what I did with it.

I used the clock stencil from Tim Holtz and paired it with some glossy white embossing paste from Dreamweaver. Once dry I used some spray inks from Memories to add color and then finished off with some distress inks to highlight different areas.

I cut out the word die and inlaid it using black cardstock. Then I added a layer of Faber Castell glaze over it. This gave it a bit of shine and helped to keep the small bits of the word stuck on. Finished this off with adding a layer of black cardstock, satin ribbon and twine.

One layer masculine birthday card

Hi everyone! Joining in on the challenge over at Less is More for their one layer challenge of leaves.

Sentiment stamps are from Winnie and Walter.

Fern is from the former Angle Company. I stamped it repeatedly in Mojito fresh ink onto oatmeal cardstock  from Wplus9.

Kept it clean and simple to uses as a masculine birthday card.

Hi everyone. Had a few minutes to put together a card for this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

I used the new Altenew set called Amazing you and water colored a bunch of the flowers and leaves up. I stamped them on Arches hot press water color paper and then heat embossed them all with detail white embossing powder from Ranger. Watercolor used are from Kuretake. To cut them all out, I used my Brother Scan N Cut.

Using blue watercolor, water and a paper towel (to blot off the excess color) I created the sky like back ground.

Used a bit of press n seal to get all the flowers and leaves where I wanted them and then stuck them on using foam tape in different thicknesses.

"You" die is from Simon Says Stamp and the "got this!" is from Our Daily Bread.
