Masculine birthday

Hi everyone! I've been stewing around ideas for the Less is more color challenge and finally decided on this. We were supposed to use the colors that are in your bedroom.

Well, believe it or not my walls are a dark green! Well, at least the top half is, the bottom has maple wainscotting on it.  My bedroom is decorated in a cabin/lodge theme with Moose, bear, fish, etc. I have log furniture in it too.  Below is a small picture (and not a very good picture at that) of what it looks like.

Pine branch stamp is from Stampin Up. The happy birthday sentiment is from the Paper Studio. Tag is a die from PTI that you've already seen me use.

White scrappers floss is colored with a YG63 Copic marker. I ended up popping up the tag using foam tape at the last minute.  Scored the outside lines using the scoreboard from Martha Stewart.

So, as you can see by the picture I let my DH have his wishes when it came to the decor of my bedroom. Which I didn't mind since everything else in the house is MY way!  And yes, that is a faux bear rug on the bed. Un-Stuffed toy style.

Baby baby baby

Hi everyone! Here's a peek at a baby card that I made for a co-worker who just had her first grandchild.

The onesie stamp is from Hero Arts that is one of four stamps in a set that I purchased eon's ago. It is paper pieced with polka dot paper from Papertrey, Ink. It is also popped up onto the circle cut out using foam tape.

The baby sentiment is a tiny stamp from PTI that I just stamped all around the edge of the circle cut out.

Satin ribbon added on top if the yellow polka dot dp and then the Bow Easy was used to tie that perfect bow.

Scalloped edges were created using the medium die from Lifestyle crafts. Lastly, I colored in the little heart on the onesie with a white sharpie paint pen.

Hi everyone! Here is my take on this weeks Fusion Challenge. This one took a while since I made the flowers.

The flower die is from Cherry Lynn Designs. I used two shades of yellow cardstock from Bazzill to make the flowers. White pearls from Kaisercraft used in the centers. I also added teeny tiny white pearls onto the flower centers in the vine too. The vine is a die from Memory Box that is new to me and hasn't been used until now. I did color it Copic markers.

The white panel is embossed with the wrought iron fence impression plate that I got from PTI, which I don't see on their web site any longer.

Satin ribbon is colored with the same color Copic marker that I colored the vine with. The tag and sentiment are from the Tiny Tags set from PTI.

Adding this card to djkardkreations NBUS challenge. Love this idea for a challenge and you should check it out.

FMS139 - congratulations

Hello! Happy Friday - glad the weekend is here! I so need to sleep in! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch!

Ok, I tried something a bit different when taking the photo of this card. I added some black cardstock behind to see if it would look better.  It does make the card stand out! pfft.

Stamps are from Close to my hear. I colored the flower with R83, R85, R89 and G24. The bow is made out of May Arts ribbon wire which I colored with the R83.

Tag die is from Papertrey, Ink as is the polka dots that are stamped in white onto the pink designer paper, which is from Fancy pants.

Hi everyone! Wow, this has been a super busy week with my day job that has left me exhausted! Anyhow, thought I'd at least post something for you all until I can get creative again.

This is a set by Simply Gorjus urban stamps and colored with Copic's.

I ended up stamping, coloring and fussy cutting another bird and popped it up between her legs to appear like it's looking over the edge.

An eyelet like border was cut to match her slip, which I then cut down further and tucked under the pink layer. The sentiment comes in the set of stamps that you see below. I had to post how the stamp sets are packaged because it's so darn cute.  Card end up being a 5 x 5 square.

Skin: E51, E53, RV10
Apron: C00, C1 and C3
Dress: R83, R85
Birds: B0000, B00

Happy Anniversary

Hello and happy June! Here is my take on two challenges today. It's theme time over at The Paper players and since June is a big month for Weddings they want to celebrate Marriage. I chose to make a anniversary card.

Sentiment stamp is from Papertrey, Ink.

The flowers are from the flower friend set from Simon Says Stamps. I stamped the big flower in chamomile Fresh ink on the bottom and then a lighter yellow on the top, just to be a bit different. I like that its subtle enough that the sentiment doesn't get lost.

Yellow centers on the flowers below are done using liquid pearls.

The funky scalloped border is from Paper Smooches called borders 1 dies. It's one of three that comes in the set.

I'm also putting this into the Lucky dip challenge over at Less is More where they want more than one stamp used. I used four on this one, check!!!

Hello everyone! I combined a couple of challenges in this one card and love how it turned out!

All stamps are from Simon Says Stamps.

Sketch is from this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #138. I used one of the dies from MFT die-namic blueprints #14 to cut the rounded rectangle. I did pop this up using foam tape.

Pure Poppy cardstock from PTI was used for the base of the card. Gingham ribbon is from my stash as is the red brad.

Wild cherry and gumdrop green pigment inks from MFT were used to stamp the flowers and stems.
