Thinking of you

Hello. Playing in a few challenges with this card today. Challenges listed below.  I started with the sketch over at FMS and added dies and stencils per the challenges below.

I started with a panel of watercolor paper and painted on the blue background using Faber Castell gelatos.  Then I used some modeling paste with a brick stencil to create the section for the daisies.  They are a new to me die from Simon Says Stamp.  Sentiment and die are from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wishing you all kinds of happy.

Hello. Playing in a few challenge today with the lovely navy creation. The flower challenge #45 is to use navy + one other color.

Stamps are from The Ton, that I got yesterday. Wonderful set called wishful wildflowers. Stamped them in Versafine, heat embossed with clear embossing powder then colored with Copic's. I did use a white prisma colored pencil to add further highlights to the centers of the flowers. Then added some self adhesive navy shtickems - to finish it off with more interest/bling.

I'm adding this into the NBUS challenge, as this stamp set is new to me.

Hope you all are taking care and being safe. Thanks for stopping by.

Wag more

Hello! Playing in the NBUS challenge today over at djkardkreations.

I've been away on business and came home to this set and inked it up for the never before used schtuff challenge. Stamps are from Studio Calico and stamped in Versafine ink. Kept this super clean and simple.

Added some enamel dots for a bit of interest and that is it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Normal

Hi there. I unintentionally decided to play in Darnell's April Fools NBUS challenge. I decided to play along with NBUS, but ended adding a few Boo Boo's on this card and just had to giggle!

Stamps are from Inspired by Stamping.

I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using the stitched die from Lil Inkers. I used the negative space to lightly draw pencil marks in the corners. This was my guide on where to stamp the flowers and leaves.

I used Fresh Ink from Impress cards and crafts, which is a pigment ink. I didn't let it dry long enough. Went to erase my pencil lines and smudged the flowers and leaves on the lower left. I also had some pink ink on one of my fingernails, which then I noticed on the sentiment panel. I tried to sand it off, but you can still see it.

What a fun challenge!

Pink flower on kraft

Hi everyone! Here's my take on Darnell's NBUS challenge to use colored pencils on kraft. I really struggled with finding something that I liked using colored pencils, and finally ditched them and grabbed my Zig water color markers.  Darnell, I hope you don't mind. ;-)

Flower is from Hot Off The Press, and heat embossed using white detail embossing powder. If you enlarge the photo you will see a bit of sparkle that is added using the Spectrum sparkle pens. I used the clear one on both the pink and green.

The thank you is from Simon Says Stamp that I just got in the mail. Added some white enamel drops from Fabrika Decoru to give it more dimension.

I'm also going to add this into The Paper Players clean and simple Flowers challenge.

Thanks for stopping in, see you soon.

Howling

Hello.  Here is my entry into Darnell's NBUS challenge. There are several items included on this card that I have had for a long time and never used, but the main image is brand new.

The howling dog is from Gerta Steiner Designs, as is the inside sentiment. She is colored with Copic's. I added some white enamel dots on her collar to go with the designer paper, which is from Papertrey, Ink that I've had awhile but never used.

Birthday sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly that I have had for a long time but never used.

I did add some texture to the dog using a cut up wash cloth and rubbing alcohol. In real life it's pretty cool.

Don't you just love the howling to youuuuu!!! sentiment on the inside? My co-worker who is a dog lover will get a kick out of this card.

That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Flower jar

Hi there. I really liked the sketch challenge that is currently over at MFT card challenges.  It went well with a NBUS image that I just got from Stamping Bella.

I got both the stamp and the die. It is stamped onto Neena solar white in 120lb and colored with Copic's. Small squares of foam tape used to pop it up off of the tag.

Tag die and stitched fishtail banner are from My Favorite Things. Sentiment is from Victorine Originals. Designer paper is Lasting Impressions.

White satin ribbon is colored with the same blue copic marker as the one around the jar.

Adding this into Darnell's NBUS challenge and the Tag You're it! challenge. That is it for today. Thanks for stopping in.

Hugs

Hello everyone! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch, which I'm pairing with two other challenges out there too. I know the hydrangea is a bit large for the sketch, but I decided to go for it anyway.

Stamp and die are new from Ellen Hutson called Mondo Hydrangea. I used shaded lilac distress ink direct to paper. Then stamped the flower with Versamark and heat embossed using white embossing power. Then I took a round paint brush and lightened some of the petals by adding water. Thanks to Jennifer McGuire for the technique.

Added some yellow liquid pearls for the centers. Leaves are die cut out of green cardstock and glued around the hydrangea. Grosgrain ribbon is from my stash that I've had like forever.

Hugs sentiment is new and from Wplus9. I stamped it versafine then heat embossed with clear before running it through the dot embossing folder from We R memory keepers, giving it a subtle texture.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is touchy feely (add texture) and Darnell is having another NBUS challenge.

Feminine thank you

Hello! Sorry to be MIA for a bit there, getting caught up from vacation was a bit of a challenge.

Forgot that Darnell was doing her NBUS challenge and I have plenty of that laying around! So, here is a soft feminine thank you card to play in the challenge.

Peonies stamp is from Papertrey, Ink and colored with Copics. I used an old sketch that I had saved to do the layout.

The white circle in the back ground has been embossed with a spellbinders celebra'tions folder. It's bit hard to see but it give this some great texture.

Sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh Baby

Hey everyone! Darnell over at djkardkreations is doing another NBUS challenge. This fits in with the following card I just made for a coworker.

The "never-before-used-schtuff" is the baby bottle die. It's from the Niche line from My Minds Eye called Oh Baby.

This card is for twin boys that were just born. That is why there are only two safety pin brads as embellishments. It was really hard to keep it at two and not add another one. LOL! Designer paper is from my stash and it's cut with the stitched die from Lil' Inkers Designs.

The congratulations sentiment is from the PTI set Bundle of Love that I doctored to fit into the area of the baby bottle. The rest of the sentiment says "on your special delivery" that I stamped on the inside. So, yes I took a pair of scissors to that stamp.

I kept this card pretty clean and simple because the coworker is a guy and it is for twin boys!

Thanks

Hi all! Now that the mail man has delivered my goodies, I'm able to play in the CASology challenge! Which is NBUS honoring our favorite Darnell from djkardkreations!

I started with this weeks sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. Flower image is from Avery Elle and stamped in Pink lemonade from Fresh Ink. Flower center stamped in black versafine. I've played around with this set from AE, but don't think I've made anything using it yet.

Tag die is new from Memory Box. I used the middle sized tag that comes in the set to frame the flower. The thanks is a die from Simon Says Stamp that I cut out a few times in black and then layered them on top of each other for depth.

Ribbon colored with a Copic marker and then tied on using some black scrappers floss. Black gingham designer paper is from A*Muse.

I had to take this picture with my iPhone since my battery died in the little point and shoot. Not a bad photo overall.

Thanks for stopping in!
