Hi everyone. I got this stamp set from Papertrey, Ink a while ago and it still needed to see some ink. Seeing the masculine challenge over at CASology, I decided to give it a go. Now granted, there isn't "white" space, it's blue like the night sky, so work with me on this one. (giggling)

Yep, got out the distress inks and blending tool to make the night sky. Word of warning to all stampers: make sure you clean off your craft mat between projects otherwise you'll get the last used ink on your new project and have to go a bit darker than you want. Again, giggling.

I'm not very good masking things off and you'll see that I had to go in and color off of few areas to erase the white showing through. I guess I just need a better pair of scissors.

The white dots are stars in the very distance and done using a sharpie paint pen.

Purple Hyacinth

Hello everyone! After a week off I'm eager to get back to stamping and participating in some challenges. Here is my latest take on a few of them.

It is color week over at Less is more and the color is purple. The Hyacinth is colored with Copic's and highlighted with a white sharpie pen.

The background is done using watercolor paper and distress reinkers.

Spectrum glitter pen used on the dragonfly.

Hyacinth and dragonfly is from Technique Tuesday, sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

I used the sundaystamps sketch and will also be adding this into the CAS-ual Friday challenge of florals.

Hi everyone! Happy April Fools Day! Here is my take on the Freshly Made Sketch this week.

Stamps are a new set called Beautiful Blooms from My Favorite Things.

I used pigment inks from Fresh Inks from my LSS to stamp the flowers and leaves in.  The white accents on the pink flowers was done using a white Sharpie paint pen.

Pink cardstock is from SSS and the black is from PTI. White cardstock is Neenah solar white 110lb.

Added some clear dew drops for dimension and interest and called this one done.

I'm also sharing this into these Anything Goes challenges.

Elf

Hi everyone. I paired two challenges to get this card and I think he turned out pretty darn cute.

Elf is from My Favorite Things and colored in Copics.  I specifically chose blue and green to go with the color challenge over at Less is More. This will be mailed out to one of my friends who is a huge Seahawk's fan.

The sentiment is from WPlus9 and Merry is the word this week over at Just us Girls.  I used the stitched square die from My Favorite Things to cut this little guy out and then layered a bit of elf green cardstock (also from MFT) behind him. I did pop him up off the white card base with foam tape to give this a bit of dimension.

White satin ribbon is colored with the mistletoe green Copic marker then tied into a bow using the Bow Easy.

Hi everyone. I was inspired by this weeks Sunday Stamps color challenge and ended up with this.

The stamps are from STAMPlorations dee's artsy impressions.

I stamped them in a mixture of the new ombre pink ink pad from Hero Arts. Added white dots for the centers using a sharpie paint pen. Do you see the faint yellow butterfly in the mix?

Green bakes twine used to "tie it off" which is a component of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge that I'm just getting around to. After taping the twine onto the back,  I used the bow easy to do a double bow and then used foam tape to pop the main panel off of the white card base.

Also adding this into the CAS-ual Friday pretty patterns challenge.

Hi everyone! I'm not going to have time this week to participate in any challenges until maybe Sunday. So, here's a card I made a while ago and never got around to posting.

Stamps are from Gina K Designs. The sail boat is colored with Copic's.

To create the sea I sponged on several different colors of blue and turquoise inks using a finger dauber. I tore a piece of printer paper so that I could make some "waves" while sponging on the ink. I finally added some foam on the water using Copic Opaque white and a white sharpie paint pen.

Sky is also sponged using Memento sky ink and a finger dauber. A light touch with the inking around the Picasso stencil cloud was used to make the clouds very subtle in the back ground.

Baby baby baby

Hi everyone! Here's a peek at a baby card that I made for a co-worker who just had her first grandchild.

The onesie stamp is from Hero Arts that is one of four stamps in a set that I purchased eon's ago. It is paper pieced with polka dot paper from Papertrey, Ink. It is also popped up onto the circle cut out using foam tape.

The baby sentiment is a tiny stamp from PTI that I just stamped all around the edge of the circle cut out.

Satin ribbon added on top if the yellow polka dot dp and then the Bow Easy was used to tie that perfect bow.

Scalloped edges were created using the medium die from Lifestyle crafts. Lastly, I colored in the little heart on the onesie with a white sharpie paint pen.

Happy Anniversary

Hi everyone! Real quick post today to show case a card I did a couple of months ago.

The bucket and flower stem are stamps from Memory Box and colored using Copic markers. I added a dot to the center of each of the flowers using a white Sharpie paint pen.

The designer paper is from DCWV and I layered the main and sentiment panels with a gray cardstock from MFT.

Sentiment is from Gina K Designs (vertical greetings) and the wide satin ribbon is from my ribbon stash.

Snowflake Angel

Hi everyone! I just realized that I had not shared this card with you! It's done a bit differently and wanted to give you the details!

The snowflake background is done with the Ornamental Snowflake set from The Angel Company. I used starry night Palette ink to stamp them and then lightly sponged on some additional ink.

The Angel (TAC) is stamped on vellum in Memento Tuxedo Ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I turned it over and colored her dress with Copic Markers. The wings are done in a two step process. Taking your stylus and a mouse pad, burnish or dry emboss the wings, being careful not to press too hard otherwise you will go through the vellum. After that is done, I used a white Sharpie paint pen and colored it all white. When you turn it over, the results are striking! Using sharp scissors, I trimmed all around it.

To get the Angel to adhere to the cardstock, I got out my Xyron and made it a sticker. The lattice border punch from MS came in handy to decorate the edges of the snowflake background and the navy cardstock.
