Spread your wings

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today with this card(s).

The designer paper is from Unity stamp company.  The border die is from Globeland (Amazon) and the butterfly is an old one from Cloud 9 Designs.  I heat embossed it and colored it to match the dsp with walnut stain distress ink.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

I added an eyelet to the file tab just to be different and stuck it between the two dot rectangles. The swirl behind the main panel is from the same butterfly set, I just masked off the sentiment just to get the swirl.

I thought this was a bit plain, so after I took the photo above, I went back and added a bit of walnut stain distress ink around the perimeter of the card.  Which do you like better?

Be true

Hello. I'm playing in the tic-tac-toe challenge over at The Paper Players today.

The flower stamp is from Unity stamp company.  I stamped it in Versafine ink and heat embossed it so that I could watercolor the flowers. Then cut it out using a deckled die and highlighted it with distress walnut stain ink.

The side "be true" sentiment is from Tim Holtz ideaology rub on pack. I actually used a label cut from die tucked behind the main panel to create the tab.  The No. 4899 is from Field Notes.

The left-hand side is made up of folded khaki packing paper that I recycled. Added a bit of lace and glued it behind the main panel.

Flowery pair - SSC334

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  Here is what I made using the sketch or inspiration color prompt photo.

The flower stamp is from Unity. I colored it with Copic markers and used a small blending brush and soft yellow ink to create the glow around the flowers. Butterfly die is an old one from Memory Box.

Happy Birthday

Hello. I decided to use the Cheers & Beers guy on the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

The stamp is from Unity and the birthday sentiment is from Poppy Stamps. I did cut him down to fit into the square that is called for in the sketch. He's colored with Copics. I used a bit of puffy paint, heated with the heat tool to give it a foamy look on the mug of brew.

The green plaid paper is from my stash and the stitched dot die is from Jillian Vance Designs.

Trio of butterflies

Hello everyone. It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Try Stamping On Tuesdays.

The butterfly collage stamp is from Unity.  I stamped another two, colored both with Copic's, and fussy cut out two of the butterflies to pop up on the card. The script embossing folder is an old one from Provo Craft.

Christmas stamps

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge today.

I used the Christmas postage stamp washi tape from 49th and Market to create the strips and layered it with red cardstock. The sentiment is from the former Raisin Boat company. I used the largest postage stamp die from Unity to showcase the stamp strips for this holiday card.

The guy with the beard - happy birthday

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at Less Is More.

The guy with the beard Stamp is from Unity. I colored him with Copic's. The birthday sentiment is from Poppy Stamps. This turned out to be a one layer card too.

To draw my frame, I used a gift card and ran it through an ink pad and drug it across the carstock to frame him out.

Here is the cue card.
