Greetings everyone! How about a little chalkboard technique today? I've been sitting on this one for a while and finally got around to posting it.

I picked up some chalkboard ATC's at Hobby Lobby a while ago and finally used one. As a matter of fact, I think that is when I picked up this stamp as well. I used white craft ink from Colorbox to stamp it in.

I can't remember the last time I used this corner cutter before digging it out for this one. Just went together, you know?

Fishtail banners from MFT used to cut out the white banners. Ended up running two of them through an embossing folder to add a bit of texture. Red gingham designer paper was from A*Muse.

Take care of yourself

Hi everyone! I just got some new stamps from MFT and was inking them up when I saw the Sweet Sunday Sketch and just had to play along!

The poppy is from the pretty poppies set from My Favorite Things. I used their colorbox wild cherry ink to stamp it and limeade fresh ink for the stem. I did use a Multiliner Copic small brush marker in black to color in the center. 

Sentiment is from Kaisercraft and stamped onto a scrap piece of green cardstock that matched the ink. It's rather bright and stands out a bit, huh? However, I kind of like the pop of color.  Red button is from American Crafts and the bow is made from black scrappers floss.

Red gingham designer paper is from A*Muse and the dies used to cut out the scalloped border and the fishtail banners are all from MFT.

Pure Poppy, white and black cardstock is from Papertrey, Ink.

Hi everyone! Here's a CAS card for the Freshly Made Sketch challenge this week. Here is the sketch.

Here is what I did with it!

Stamps are from Verve. I used Memento markers in Bamboo Leaves and Rose Bud to color the stamp and then huffed to get a good impression. Summer sky is sponged around it after cutting it out using a die from My favorite Things.

Pink gingham paper is from A*Muse and the pink paper is out of my scrap stash. Kaisercraft pearls used to highlight the centers of the flowers and pink ones for the left hand side.

Chicken soup?

Hi everyone! Here's another get well card for my Christmas giving. I improvised a bit with this one (tongue in cheek), but I thought it turned out pretty cute.

Chicken is from Victorine Originals and the soup bowl and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn. Colored with Copic's and then cut out with dies from Spellbinders and Verve (sentiment).

Yellow and blue cardstock are from Bazzill and the blue gingham is from A*Muse.

Mojo 248 - Wishing

Hi everyone! Had a few minutes to play around with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch this morning.  Here's what I came up with.

Stamps are from the Verve set Kind Words. I used Marvy markers to color directly on the stamp and then spritzed with water to get the water color effect. A little dot of liquid pearls in lemon yellow used for the flower centers.

Blue and white cardstock is from Papertrey. Ink and the gingham designer paper is from A*Muse and was bought at my local stamp store before they went private. Yellow cs is from Bazzill. Pearls are from Queen & Co.

CAS blue balloon

Hi everyone! Replenishing my birthday card stash with some clean and simple designs. Here's one that I really like...

Balloon stamp is from PTI and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. The green swiss dot paper is from Bazzill, and the blue and white cardstock from PTI.

Button is from American crafts an tied on with some thin twine. I used Navy ink from A*Muse to stamp the balloon.

Dies used on this card are from Spellbinders and Papertrey Ink.

Here's a recent picture of Chloe!

After it finally stopped raining on Friday morning, I decided that she'd been cooped up enough. She proceeded to run like a wild women all over the back yard, which was a muddy mess. This is her saying "Hi" - wanna play? Thank goodness she is still small enough to hold and clean off at the same time.

Pastel

Hey everyone! Here's an old card that I hesitated to post since I'm not too fond of it.

Not really sure why I'm not liking this, but it just doesn't work for me for some reason. Stamps are from A Muse. Spellbinders labels die used to cut it out and layered with blue cardstock from Hot Off The Press. The designer paper is from Basic Grey. I hand drew the black border around the outside using a ruler and Copic Multi liner pen. Studio G chalk ink used to stamp the flower.

Cornice punch from MS Crafts is used on the top blue piece of CS. Pink satin ribbon is tied into a double bow using the Bow Easy.

Picking up new puppy today! Chloe is an 11 week old Alaskan Malamute that will be joining Noah in tearing up things around here. Pictures soon!

Dandy note

Hello! I got a few cards completed yesterday finally. I tend to stamp a bunch of images and set them aside, then come back to them later. This is one of them.

Stamps are from the PTI anniversary set called Botanical Silhouettes. Stamped in Palette Jardin Moss, Noir and Fresh Snow on kraft cardstock. I used a stardust pen to highlight the tips of the dandylion. Used a dauber and fresh snow ink to ink up the edges.

Green cardstock is from Bazzill and the gingham designer paper is from A Muse. Tied a bow using the Bow Easy out of black satin ribbon for the right side of the card. Used a few glue dots to get it to lay just right and not cover up the sentiment.

Just Because

Hey everyone! Here's another card using a new image from A Muse.

I colored with a marker directly on the stamp and then spritzed it with water to create the watercolor effect. Sentiment is stamped in Palette noir.

I just got the new smaller version of labels four and love that I'm now able to layer without having to hand cut!!

Designer paper is something that I pulled out of my scrap pile and have no clue who it's from. Grosgrain ribbon used to tie the little bow on the flower and behind the main image. At the last minute I added three self adhesive pearls for some bling from Kaisercraft! I got lucky and found some green one's amongst all the packages that I have stuffed into my little drawer!

Thinking about you

Hi everyone! I was able to play around and work with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch yesterday!

Stamps are from the "just because" set from A Muse. The leaf stem is stamped in Studio G chalk ink in a lime green and the sentiment is stamped in Palette dark chocolate. The stitching is a stamp from Stampabilities and is also stamped in the dark chocolate.

Green cardstock is from Bazzill and the dark brown is from my stash. The designer paper on top is from Memory Box.

Brown grosgrain ribbon is secured under the green with tape and the Bow Easy is used to tie the bow. Lastly, I added a small punched butterfly for a splash of color.

Canvas flowers

Hi everyone. I hope this finds you doing well. I had time to complete the Wednesday SCS sketch challenge this week and here' s the card.

The flowers and the strip in back are of a ivory canvas material that came in a 12x12 sheet that I bought at a LSS. I colored it pink using the pink sparkle Smooch spray.

Buttons are cut out using the new button die from Papertrey Ink and their yellow felt and tied on with scrappers floss. As a matter of fact all dies are from PTI - square, flower, and button. The leaf punch is from Martha Stewart crafts.

The pink gingham designer paper is from A Muse. This ended up being a quick simple card that's really springy! I needed something as I'm really tired of the cold and snow we have been getting lately. Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear what you think of this card.

Card Sketch #81 - What's Brewing?

Here's sketch #81 - sweet and simple! Normal A2 measurements.

I just recently picked up this stamp and sentiment at my LSS! I hadn't seen it before and thought it was way cool!

The image is colored in Copic Markers and I added a thin layer of Crystal Lacquer to give the cup a glass like look! The diamonds on the back ground layer are stamped in Colorbox pigment ink and then embossed with clear EP. I decided to unearth my corner rounder and went to town on this one! By the way, I used stamps from three different stamp companies to make this card. But they all just seem to go together, YKWIM?

I liked this sketch so much that I did another card using new TAC stamps. However, I think I'll hold off on posting that one until later.

Well, off to address some RAK's - my cards are piled up high and I need to get rid of some! Have a great week!
