Stipple Butterfly

Hello, everyone.  Here is my latest creation for two challenges today. I originally had this mounted on a white card base, but the tree back ground just got lost, so I switched it up to black.

I have no idea who makes this tree limb back ground stamp. I got it at a stamp fair and forgot to mark it. I used Mojito green ink from Fresh Ink to stamp it with. Cut it up, added some fum foam to the back and stuck it on.

Recognize this butterfly? It's the retired stipple butterfly from Stamin Up! I stamped it on Fabriano hot press watercolor paper (recent purchase off of Amazon, cheaper than Arches, works the same) and used the Zig real brush water color pens and a water brush to color this beauty up. Fussy cut it out, added wire antenna's along with some foam square for dimension and called it done.

Photo Inspiration

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the photo below as a starting point for inspiration.

I used both the color and the flowers to come up with my card. My yellow is a little lighter than the photo, but it still works.  I used the solid mum stamp again and the sentiment is from the plate 8600. I did also use an impression plate on the white card base in the back ground. It's faint, but in real life that wrought iron impression looks really cool.

Sending my sympathies

Hello. I hope everyone is doing well. Here is my take on several challenges today.

I've had the bloom colored up and sitting in my "to make" box for a while now. It went perfect with the sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  Stamp is from Altenew. Added some sparkle to it with the clear spectrum sparkle pen.

Sentiment and the small polka dot stamps are from Papertrey, Ink.  Used Fresh pigment ink in pink lemonade to go with the ink in the flower. The designer pink posy dot paper is from Lasting Impressions that I've been hoarding. I just cut up the 8 x 11.5 sheet and used it on a card previously, so this one was ready and waiting. Navy cardstock used as the base card and to layer.

The dew drops are from Katscrappiness, which I bought in a mixed sized package. Link to her shop is on my side bar.

You are mermazing

Hello. Playing in this week's Freshly Made Sketch challenge.

Stamps are from My Favorite Things. I stamped the turtle, fish and mermaid in Versafine and heat embossed so that I could color with Copic's. Added a bit of seaweed and coral at the bottom.

Sentiment banner is manipulated to wave, but it's a bit hard to tell in the photo.

To create the background, I randomly stamped the small clusters of fish in Versamark and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Die cut a couple of waves (dies from MFT) out of scrap cardstock and then used oxide distress inks. I really liked how it came out.

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following Tic Tac Toe grid.

I chose to go diagonally down from the left. Flowers, gems and frames. I used 10201-W, Flower Power Background and the Hey is from the cling YOU set.

I stamped the back ground in Versafine and heat embossed with clear so that I could color the flowers with Copic's. Added some rhinestones to the flower centers in different sizes. The frames are dies from MFT.  Card base is black cardstock.

Mermaid shaker card

Hi all. Just got my Monthly Hero kit yesterday and this is what came about as I played around with it.

Back ground is done using distress oxide inks. Blended broken china and cracked pistachio then used the stencil included in the kit with some water to get a pretty cool effect.

Tule used instead of acetate on the shaker window.  Glued some starfish onto it for some added color. The mermaid is stamped in versafine, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then colored with Copic's. I added some sparkle to her using a clear glitter spectrum sparkle pen.

The photo is kind of dark, but I also added a spritz or two of sparkle to the overall card using shimmer spritz. Sequins can be found at Katscrappiness - link on side bar. I did not use the ones that came in the kit.

The shaker panel is popped up onto the card base using fun foam. That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!
