Joy

Hi all. Here's my take on a couple of challenges today.

It's all about clean and simple for this one and the bonus of it is, that it can be mass produced.

Joy die is from my local stamp store and you can find it here.=> LINK

I added a snowflake (die from MFT) for the center of the O. You can't tell in the picture, but I did spritz it with some shimmer frost.

Popped the white panel up using foam tape onto a pure poppy card base.

Old world Santa

Hi everyone! Here is my take on Less is More's vintage theme challenge.

Stamp is from Verses called Old World Santa. I used Versafine ink to stamp him and then heat embossed using clear embossing powder. I like the shine that embossing gives. Then I added just a hint of pink on his cheeks and nose with Copic markers.

Framed him up using the rectangle double stitched dies from My Favorite Things. I popped it up on the panel with skinny foam tape, then used some fun foam to add the whole thing onto a top folding white card base.

I've experimented using different embossing powders with this Santa image and they all come out fantastic!

Photo inspiration

Hello. It's that time again. Time for a photo inspiration challenge for The House That Stamps Built.

Here is the photo and below is what I did with it.

I didn't have the scarecrow stamp that you will see in the other Rock Star's posts this week, so I went with what I had.
I used the pumpkin stamp and colored it using Copic markers.

Luckily I had some orange and brown plaid designer paper. It came from the DCWV pumpkin patch 6 x 6 paper pack. I also added a strip of burlap to resemble the bail of straw that adorable scarecrow is sitting on.

Lastly, I added a bit of black scrappers floss at the top.

So what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in one weekly challenge or all of them. The more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a
Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Holiday coffee cup

Hi all. I picked up this Hero Arts stamp and die set after waffling about it for some time. I put it to use on this sketch from TGIF Challenges.

I had to use my nano stampoholic tool to get the red ink as dark and even as I could. It took repeated stamping and re-inking to do that.

Red ink and paper are pure poppy from Papertrey, Ink.

Snow embossing folder is from Taylored Expressions.

The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

Metallic snowflakes

Hi all. Here is my take on two challenges today.

I started with the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. Just us girls trend week is metallic.

So I cut some snowflakes from metallic papers and popped them up on a snowflake embossed panel.

I did use two different thicknesses of foam squares as you can see in the smaller sideways picture below.

My picture is sort of dark as it's ugly gray rainy weather outside today. Perfect excuse to stay inside and craft.

 Thanks for stopping in!
