Pink fairy

Hi everyone! Here is a card I created for the Flutter By Wednesday challenge. It was an open challenge but pink was suggested for the color.

So I started with coloring her gown pink using Copic's. I added a few white highlights throughout her gown using a Sharpie paint pen. You might need to blow up the picture to notice though. I also added some sparkle to her wings using a stardust pen. Light pink rhinestones from kaisercraft added to the sparkles.

Dark grey cardstock that was used to layer is from American Crafts and the pink cardstock came from Hot Off The Press. Sadly, I have no idea who makes this stamp image.

I almost added a few flowers to the lower left corner, but it wasn't working for me. Too big, not the right color, yada yada yada. Ended up tying a bow using the bow easy with pink grosgrain ribbon. I like - not too fussy and it lets the fairy be the focal image! The inside was stamped with little star bursts that I picked up a few years ago from Stamps by Judith.

Another fall card

Hi everyone! Here's another fall card I did using stamps from TAC.

Colored with Copic Markers. The designer paper is also from TAC. I used the spellbinder nestie label to cut this little guy out and then traced and hand cut the black layer behind.

Wood grain embossing folder from Tim Holtz used on the dark brown cardstock. The brown cardstock is from Papertrey Ink.

This is actually a really fun set to own as there are so many possibilities. Bummer that TAC folded and it's not available for purchase any longer!

Fall

Hi everyone! Since fall began officially last Friday, I thought I'd make a few cards to usher in the season.

Stamp is from Memory Box and colored with Marvy Makers and huffed on. The sentiment is from Stampendous.

Designer paper is from Papertrey Ink. I used two colors of brown cardstock from American Crafts, one to layer the main image and one as the card base. I found some rust colored grosgrain ribbon to tie behind the main image. Added the gold self adhesive pearls for some bling.

What do you think? I think this one's kinda plain Jane! Not sure if it's working for me or not. Thanks for stopping in!

Two challenge card

Hi everyone! I had some time on my hands this afternoon and decided to combine (or try to) two challenges in one card. Mojo Monday 207 and the inspiration challenge over on SCS.

The blog that was chosen for inspiration is awesome! Here is what I chose.


Here is what I came up with!


Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and stamped in Archival jet black ink. The lace is colored with a copic marker to try and match the ivory colors in the card. I didn't have any of the muted or mint greens in my cardstock collection so I went with the lightest I had.

Ivory and Fine Linen from Papertrey Ink
Brown from American Crafts
Green and swiss dot green from Bazzill

Sunny

Hello! Happy first day of fall, er I mean second day. It sure didn't feel like it around here. Very warm, sunny and humid.

So, with that in mind here is a sketch card that I made for SCS and did not post. Stamps are from TAC and colored with Copic markers.

The die is from Verve and I hand cut the layer in back after tracing it onto cardstock. Self adhesive gold pearls are added for some bling.

Thinking about you because...

Hi everyone! Here's a Clean and Simple card I whipped up in no time at all.

Stamps are from A*Muse studio. I stamped the butterfly using the huff method which is colored with Marvy LePlume markers. I added some sparkle to its wings using a stardust pen and smearing it a bit with my finger. Circle nesties used to cut it out and the layer behind.

The sentiment is stamped in jet black archival ink and then cut out using the label die from Verve. I traced the label onto blue card stock from Hot Off The Press and cut it out free hand.

Gingham designer paper is also from A*Muse. Added the white satin ribbon and the blue self adhesive pearls as finishing touches. This card maybe took 15 minutes tops!

Easel Card Challenge

Hi everyone! It's time for another challenge over at Victorine Originals. This time the challenge is to make an easel card. Here's mine.

The hill landscape and tree's stamps are from Victorine Originals. The sentiment is built using everyday expressions from Paper Studio (picked it up at Hobby Lobby).

I did a lot of sponging and masking on this card, from the green hills to the blue skies. I used Palette Jardin Moss for the hills and the sky is done with Memento Summer sky. The clouds are cut out from dies (PTI) and popped up using foam tape.

This is the first time that I have attempted to create an easel card - what fun! What do you think, did I do it justice? Remember that you can create your own easel card and upload it to this link to be entered in to win free stamps!
