Hi everyone! Here is a card I created for the Flutter By Wednesday challenge. It was an open challenge but pink was suggested for the color.
So I started with coloring her gown pink using Copic's. I added a few white highlights throughout her gown using a Sharpie paint pen. You might need to blow up the picture to notice though. I also added some sparkle to her wings using a stardust pen. Light pink rhinestones from kaisercraft added to the sparkles.
Dark grey cardstock that was used to layer is from American Crafts and the pink cardstock came from Hot Off The Press. Sadly, I have no idea who makes this stamp image.
I almost added a few flowers to the lower left corner, but it wasn't working for me. Too big, not the right color, yada yada yada. Ended up tying a bow using the bow easy with pink grosgrain ribbon. I like - not too fussy and it lets the fairy be the focal image! The inside was stamped with little star bursts that I picked up a few years ago from Stamps by Judith.
What do you think? thanks for stopping in and and have a great weekend.

Oh Laurie - what a pretty card! Love the sparkle and the bow in the corner. So glad you joined us at FBW this week!
Oh my gosh, Laurie - this is SO pretty! I think pink and gray are gorgeous together. Great card!
Wow - VERY pretty, Laurie! One of your prettiest cards, I think...and that's sayin' something, because they're ALL so pretty!
Yes, I remember Barrel of Monkeys...in fact I still have a barrel full of plastic monkeys! Not the original - but ones I found at a vintage toy store about ten years ago.
What a beautiful image! Love the pink and the coloring of her wings is fabulous. Wonderful card.
